Wreck-It Ralph is a new animation film by Disney and it’s set to be that rarest of breeds: a good videogame movie.
The film stars John C. Reilly as Wreck-It Ralph, the villain in an arcade favourite called Fix-It Felix (think Donkey Kong). Reilly’s character decides he is fed-up always being the baddie, so he leaves his game to try out some new ones as a goodie.
Wreck-It Ralph’s decision has dangerous repercussions and the entire games arcade is in jeopardy when he enters Sugar Rush and Hero’s Duty.
Wreck-It Ralph will feature cameos from the world of videogames, such as the ghost in Pac-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog.
The film also stars Sarah Silverman as Ralph’s newfound friend, cute Sugar Rush character Vanellope von Schweetz, and Jane Lynch as a badass sergeant in Hero’s Duty.
