Hellboy director Guillermo del Toro returns with sci-fi action epic Pacific Rim.
Boasting such star power as Prometheus's Idris Elba, Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses') and Hellboy himself, and frequent del Toro collaborator, Ron Perlman, Pacific Rim is del Toro's love letter to Japanese daikaiju films, or monster movies to you and me.
GDT's plot revolves around an alien invasion and the man-made robots humans have made as a weapon against the extra-terrestrial threat.
On July 7 2012 a poster for Comic-Con got released in order to give you a sense of scale for some of these robots. Guillermo, calling the experience the best he's had in Hollywood, is promising several Hong Kong blocks worth of destruction.
