JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI is the story of Jiro Ono, an 85 year old perfectionist considered to be the world's greatest sushi chef and proprietor of Sukiyabashi Jiro, the first sushi restaurant to be awarded three Michelin stars. Located in a Tokyo subway station and with only ten seats - and no bathroom - Jiro's sushi draws food lovers from around the globe, booking a year in advance and paying 300 dollars a head for a coveted spot. Jiro runs this culinary gem with a will of iron, deft fingers and his eldest son Yoshikazu. Their fascinating relationship lies at the heart of this wasabi-infused tale, as the apprentice struggles with the sometimes overbearing aura of the master.
