Hugh Jackman talks X-Men: Days Of Future Past

“There will be more claws in this one”

Bryan Singer has been busy rounding up his old collaborators for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, with Hugh Jackman the latest to confirm a reappearance after Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were revealed to be returning.

Jackman has been speaking about his involvement in the forthcoming film, and from the sounds of it, he’ll have a bit more to do than he did in his (admittedly brilliant) cameo in X-Men: First Class.

“I did a three-hour, three-word cameo in the last one. It literally took me three hours," he said. "I have been talking to Bryan Singer about doing something in this. There will be more claws in this.”

The new film will feature a narrative that hops between the present and the future, with the young Xavier and his charges attempting to avert a timeline in which mutants are consigned to internment camps policed by the robotic Sentinels. Hence the scope for the reappearance of some of the original cast.

Directed by Singer and co-starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 18 July 2014.

With Famke Janssen rumored for a return as Jean, All we need is Halle Berry to appear as Storm and I'll be happy - Cyclops would be good, but with the poor performance/direction with James Marsden they could pretend he was killed by the evil Sentinels, because lets not forget this technically happens before the events of Last Stand, but crazy Wibbly Wobbly Time-y Wimey stuff should see the 1st class series finally link with the originals by the end of DofFP

What makes you assume this happens before The Last Stand? If the timeline is different it's easily possible none of the first three X-Men films ever happened. Personally I'd rather they write off X3 and Singer make a "third" with the original cast a bit later.

Would rather see Cyclops back than Storm. "What happens when a toad is struck by lightning. The same thing as everything else." FFS.

To be fair to Halle Berry, she probably didn't write that line. I think she's a good actress but I'm not a fan of the portrayal of Storm, or the direction they went with Cyclops. That said, I'd prefer they keep the original cast. It still annoys me how they misused Cyclops though.

It took three hours to shoot " Go f**k yourself " hmmm must have been 2 hours and 30 minutes of make up.

How many times do you think he had to say the line? Personally, I'd love to sit at a bar telling Fassbender and McAvoy to go f**k themselves for 3 hours...

Go away Wolvie you have your own franchise now, why can't you just be happy with that? Bring back Cyclops but get a better actor for him and write him in a way that doesn't make the character seem like a complete d****e.

I can't take Jackman seriously after seeing Wolverine, Australia and the movie with the transformers boxing. I feel like he doesn't take the genre seriously but is happy to use it to pad out his career. Sorry, that was harsh, I just find his acting style really inconsistent

And if I was Halle Berry I'd be downloading every available copy of Catwoman from the Internet and destroying it

Somewhere in a landfall millions of copies of Catwoman are lying next to the millions of copies of the E.T video game.
