The Mayor of Liverpool has pledged to build 12 new schools in the city and the Director of Children’s Services will play a critical role in the successful delivery of this ambitious target.
To be our Director of Children’s Services, you will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to motivate staff in a challenging climate and have the ability to win the confidence of partners and major stakeholders. You will have substantial senior management experience in children’s services in a comparable organisation, with an extensive track record in service excellence, innovation, continuous improvement and performance delivery.
You will also have a proven track record of delivering high quality children’s services in a multi-agency context as well as a significant understanding of current and emerging local government issues together with the legislative and policy framework around children’s services.
With exemplary communication and negotiation skills, you will have a demonstrable record of achieving success, influencing outcomes and delivering corporate priorities.
