How do I give a gift membership?

There are two easy ways to give! Choose the method of giving most convenient for you:

1. Online: Give an MPR gift membership through our safe and secure online form.
2. Phone: Call us toll free at 800-228-7123, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Central Time.

What is included in a gift membership?

1. Access to Minnesota Public Radio:
   
   • Tours, events and information about your gift recipient’s favorite programs
   • Important breaking news about MPR events and happenings in your community
2. Community recognition — The pride of belonging to one of the nation's most highly respected and widely known public radio organizations.
3. Member discounts — Your gift recipient’s membership entitles them to exclusive members-only discounts at restaurants, theaters, record stores, shops, B&B’s and more — with their MPR Member Connect card. Their member card will arrive in the mail within a few weeks.
4. Critical news and great music — Members use a variety of ways to stay connected to MPR including podcasts, social media, streaming apps for mobile devices, enewsletters and email alerts among others.

How do I announce my gift?

If you give online, you can select to immediately send your gift recipient an ecard with a personal message.

If you did not give online, you can still download and print a gift announcement card. Our printable gift announcement fits perfectly in a card or stocking and is suitable for any occasion. The announcement folds into quarters and includes information on gift membership benefits, a brief description of Minnesota Public Radio and room for you to include a hand-written message. The front is even “wrapped” with a bow!

All Gift Recipients will also receive a mailed acknowledgement of your gift along with their Member Connect card.

If your gift is time-sensitive, please use our online option to give. Online, you can select your gift, select an ecard to announce your gift immediately and, after your gift is processed, download and print a gift announcement card, which you can fold and fit inside a card.

Where will my gift recipient’s thank-you gift, bonus gift or Minnesota Monthly magazine be sent?

If you choose to have your gift recipient receive a thank-you gift, bonus gift or Minnesota Monthly magazine, these items will be sent directly to the gift recipient’s address within 2-3 weeks.

Where will my gift recipient’s Member Connect card be sent?

Your gift recipient’s Member Connect card will be sent directly to your gift recipient’s address within 2-3 weeks.
