My client is a leading international Professional services firm covering both legal and financial services. They have a newly created position of Head of Project Management to establish and manage the Project Management framework and Project team in order to plan and execute IT projects successfully.
Your responsibilities will also be to:
Establish and maintain the project management framework and disciplines necessary to support a PMO in the Firm.
Manage the PM team including Project Managers and Business Analysts
Maintain processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete.
Ensure the team report on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all projects.
In conjunction with the CIO and IT Steering Group, manage and administer the Project Prioritization process within the Firm.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the projects
You will need to be able to demonstrate:
High level of experience as a senior Project Manager, Programme Manager or Head of Project Management within a professional services environment – partnership ideally a law firm
Experience in establishing and implementing a Project Management methodology within a multijurisdictional Firm or partnership.
Experience at working both independently in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Have a good knowledge with ITIL and other IT service management methodologies.
Strong familiarity with project management methodologies and software - PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred
