After aliens attacking blocks and zombies eating Cockneys, this grimy siege thriller holds its own in the B-market of socially conscious London genre mashers.
James Moran’s dour script is a blunt tool, but the suspense cuts all the same as a mystery sniper dispatches hold-outs in a high-rise awaiting demolition.
Maxing the intensity, directors James Nunn and Ronnie Thompson make each bullet shock.
The shooter’s identity is less startling –urban neglect is the real enemy – but the grey-shades leads take up the slack, with Sheridan Smith’s guilt-wracked heroine and Jack O’Connell’s feral thug nailing the John Carpenter-esque tone.
