Peter Jackson has just found the final key cast member for his adaptation of Alice Sebold’s novel The Lovely Bones.
Stanley Tucci is joining the cast in the pivotal role of killer George Harvey, the neighbour who rapes and kills Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan), who ends up narrating the plot and looking down on her troubled parents (Ryan Gosling and Rachel Weisz) as they try to pick up the pieces of their life.
With a script by Jackson and LOTR/King Kong cohorts Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh, The Lovely Bones starts shooting this October in Pennsylvania and, shockingly, New Zealand.
