  • How do I make the text larger?
    • The FT EPaper has a range of sizes for your viewing needs You can expand the type size by clicking on the Zoom In (+) and Zoom Out (-) buttons or you can click on the Full Page view icon.
  • How do I make the story window larger?
    • Click the “Switch to Full Screen Mode” icon on the lower right hand corner of the electronic edition. You then can control how much larger or smaller articles appear by clicking on the electronic edition.
  • When I choose a story in the clickable paper, what are my viewing options?
    • Double click on an article. The “Paper” view displays the story just as it appears in the newspaper, with columns and photos in place. The “Text” view offers a view of the story and photos. You can e-mail or print the story in either mode, just use the icons at the top of the story. You can also translate the text version to a foreign language by selecting the ‘Translate’ icon.
  • I can’t see the whole page on my screen. What do I do?
    • If you cannot view the entire width of the page, find the scroll bar along the bottom edge of your Web page. You can scroll right or left to view more of the page. You also will be able to navigate up and down using the scroll bar on the right edge.
    • There are many other view options as well such as single page, double page or full screen. For Single Page, click the “One Page” icon from the tool bar –for full screen mode, click this same icon again. For double page, click the “Double Page” icon.
  • I prefer following text links to stories, rather than paging through an entire section or edition. How do I do that?
    • The “Contents” icon is located in the “What’s Inside” link toward the top left-hand navigation bar. This tool provides headlines and summaries of key elements on the pages. Click the arrow located next to each headline to minimize and maximize content under each headline.
    • Using this feature helps you breeze through the EPaper issue with text links that closely resemble a web site. You may also easily click on the ‘Page Thumbnails’ icon to see what part of the paper you want to access.
  • Where are previous issues?
    • There are 3 weeks days worth of back issues are available in the daily paper.  Just click the “Back Issues” button on the tool bar. Choose a specific issue or choose from the dated thumbnail display of the back issue you are interested in.
    • FT.com premium subscribers have access to archives going back 5 years.  From the main FT.com/ePaper page, click the archive that you wish to access.  Please note that Asia and Middle East archives are not available.  We’re working on these and hope to have them ready soon.
  • Can I read additional FT Publications such as FT Magazine or How to Spend it?
    • Yes, click on the Magazines button and enjoy reading the How to Spend It?, FT Magazine and our growing list of Special Reports.
  • Can I print out articles?
    • Yes, subject to our terms and conditions. Double-click on the element you want to print then click the printer icon in the top toolbar.
    • Please Note: One click only minimizes and maximizes the current page. In order to open the article or puzzle you’d like to print in its own window, you must double click. Try double-clicking extremely fast as the system sometimes registers slow double clicks as one.
    • Also, you can not print individual articles in full screen mode. If you see more than one option box on your bottom right-hand corner you are in full screen mode. Click the X to exit full screen mode and then follow the directions above.
  • How do I read the ePaper offline?
    • This functionality is only available with Internet Explorer or FireFox. Under the Save icon, select ‘Offline Newspaper Browsing’. The Save for Offline window will appear and you will be prompted to save the webpage as a favourite.
  • I cannot find the content I am looking for
    • A news and stock search function is available by tapping the ‘search’ icon from the top right of the homepage and subsequent main section pages. Simply tap the magnifying glass button, enter your search terms and pick the relevant results.
  • What if I am only interested in specific topics or articles?
    • The ePaper provides a rapid search option where you can search the current edition or all of the editions for the last two weeks.
    • Just click on Search, select whether you want this edition or all editions and then type in the keywords you’re interested in. Links to all coverage of that topic will appear — no matter what section the stories appeared in. You can search just that day or the entire past week.
  • Can I save an article of interest?
    • Yes, by double-clicking on an article, you open the article viewing window.  This window will allow you to add this article to your collection under the Save Icon.  When you viewing the full paper, open the My Articles link which is also a drop down choice in the Save Icon
