Purpose of the Role



HR Business Consultant will act as the interface between the central EMEIA SL People Teams, the MENA People Team and the MENA Service Lines to ensure that:

  • MENA SL deploys People initiatives and programs that are within the scope of EMEIA People priorities
  • Effective People solutions are developed by the MENA People Team to meet the business needs of the SL and are aligned as far as possible with EMEIA direction,
  • The Firm's sub-area People Priorities are implemented through the sub-area service lines,

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to the MENA Service Line Leader with a solid reporting line
  • Reports to the MENA People Leader with a solid reporting line
  • Works within a virtual EMEIA SL HRBC team which is lead by an EMEIA SL HRBC
  • Works within a virtual EMEIA SL L&D team which is lead by an EMEIA SL L&D team

Role Description

  • Supports the sub-area Service Line Leader and People Leader in implementation of SL People priorities
  • Drives the execution of agreed People priorities in the SL under the sponsorship of People Leader and Core People Team. This mainly includes:

Managing deployment of People initiatives and programs within the SL in the area of main HR functions Communicating plans with EMEIA central People Team and ensuring sub-area implementation plans are aligned with EMEIA principles, requirements and strategies.Sharing best practices with the other sub-area HRBCs

  • Acts as change agent within the SL, ensuring that People priorities are implemented in a way that provides solutions to business needs & issues
  • Supports the sub-area People Leader in evaluating and responding to requests from the SL for support and initiatives on the People agenda
  • Builds and maintains influential relationships with:

SL LeadersEMEIA People Team members to ensure effective collaborationSub-area HRBCs to ensure that People initiatives & programs are deployed in accordance with priorities at the area levelSub-area Core People Team to ensure effective collaboration

  • As needed, provides feedback to EMEIA SL HRBCs
  • Ensures, EMEIA central People Teams have an understanding of the underlying cultural and economic drivers in the sub-area to ensure People solutions are appropriate.
  • Represents the sub-area in EMEIA meetings & calls organized by the central People teams

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrating understanding of Global and Area People priorities in the context of the SL and the sub-area to ensure that the People solutions are fit for purpose
  • Displaying expertise knowledge of contemporary HR and organizational development practices and a sound understanding of the SL businesses
  • Demonstrates strong relationship building and networking skills
  • Demonstrates competency to work in virtual teams
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of SL developments
  • Due to the heavy focus on L&D related projects, a background in 'operational L&D' is beneficial

Location is flexible and can be based anywhere in MENA
