Commercial/Contracts Director

Building a team you will develop a process and function that supports each commercial sales transaction whilst at the same time maximises business benefit/gross margin whilst minimising risk.
Ensure that all sales contracts are processed and secured in accordance with Group policies and procedures. Working cross functionally and in conjunction with the Finance, Sales and Legal Depts around terms and conditions, revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies etc.
You will work closely with and as part of the Sales teams to negotiate and coordinate the more complex sales transactions ensuring the business does not take excessive risk or contract on inappropriate legal or commercial terms.
The role requires strong negotiation skills – both with internal and external stakeholders, partners and clients . For external negotiations, this role often involves acting as a “trouble shooter” to steer deals to an acceptable position. The role also requires a solid knowledge and understanding of key contractually issues, strong finance / P&L knowledge based on practical experience, the ability to work in a matrix structure, good understanding of data and database structures, strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.

The above will be second nature to you, you will have built or be running a function and will be able to provide demonstrable evidence of your successes in streamlining and driving face to face sales contract negotiations.
