Our client, a global diversified manufacturing business, is looking for a Group Finance Director to guide and steer the future strategy and planning of its financial reporting structure for one of its subsidiaries. With a global outlook and a reporting line into the US parent company you will guide the business and be crucial in the re-structuring & globalisation of this major business.
During a challenging time for the business they require someone with experience working for a multinational business with global reporting functions. Reporting to the Managing Director as his number two and a reporting line to the wider group CFO you will play a pivotal part in the planning and financial reporting structure.
Financial Reporting/Controls
- Provides control environment allowing Company to function with no surprises
- Insures that a costing system is in place that provides a financial infrastructure to allow business to make the right decisions
- Work closely with Corporate CFO on material financial matters and ensure adherence to Financial Controls
- Meet the weekly, monthly and annual corporate financial reporting due dates
- Ensure an environment that has no significant control weaknesses as defined by the Sarbanes Oxley s.404 compliance and external auditors
Strategic Management
- Participates in overall management decisions of the company as a member of the senior management team
- Coordinates with Senior Management the development of the annual operating plan, quarterly re-forecasts, Long Range Planning
- Communicates to the organization the current financial results and identifies areas of risks/opportunities and issues facing the business
- Ensures that each functional area is provided with the necessary financial information that compares current year spend to prior year and latest forecast for accountability
- Participate in the analysis of potential acquisitions
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance with CPA and/or CMA
- MBA Preferred
- Significant manufacturing background / leadership skills
- Previous experience within a US multinational environment with US GAAP
- ERP implementations / system reporting experience (Oracle)
