This year, the winner of the Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel category was chosen by our devoted Rotten Tomatoes readers by online ballot.

Earning his second consecutive Worst Actor award is Adam Sandler for That's My Boy. Here is the full list of recipients:

No mention of The Tall Man? That had to be the single worst thing I saw last year.

I would mention the film LOL, which was the worst piece of garbage I ever saw. Miley Cyrus delivered what is probably her worst performance yet. Yes. And Demi Moore might finally have a contender for her long-awaited career-ending performance.

I wish the Razzies actually gave these awards to truly awful movies instead of popular movies to bash. Chernobyl Diaries was the worst film of 2012.

Feb 23 - 08:05 PM

David Ledford

David Ledford

I agree. It's just a way for them to grab headlines now. Nobody would care if a movie that nobody went to see won, but take a movie that has a fan following now you've made every local 6 p.m. newscast. The Razzies are more unnecessary then ever.

the oscars are just as bad, especially since they're dealing with "good" movies

I respectfully disagree. The truly worst movies are ones you would never see anyway. This way, you get the to see which hyped movies you shouldn't see.

Yeah, but if that was there purpose they'd do these while they were still in theaters or not out on BR.

No, "The Devil Inside" was the worst film of 2012. That film almost killed the horror genre for good!

exactly. These people judge a movie based on how many people who liked it. You can say a show full of 'haters(?)'

I think This has been a long time coming for twilight and Stewart's horrid acting and Yes a 7 year old Girl in love with 21 year old Man is by far the worst screen couple. Gross. I am shocked to see they hate Adam Sandler more than Robert Pattinson though.

Feb 25 - 12:03 PM

Vits

Vicente Torres

The way you're saying it is like they ONLY vote based on the TWILIGHT hatred. Voters said that Pattinson has been gorwing up as an actor in the past few years (mainly in movies outside the saga), while Sandler keeps gettings worse.

Yes Twilight was terrible, but worst than an Adam Sandler comedy? I think not. I'm pretty sure they just wanted to bash the Twilight series (which I am okay with) but I don't think they deserved to win. I question their credibility

Mohd Syafiq Bin Jabaruddin

Seriously, many people make pedophilia jokes about Breaking Dawn but with That's My Boy the movie made that joke for the viewers. And because it is not enough, Adam Sandler is nice enough to add a little taste of incest with it.

I think Twilight winning was more of a lifetime achievement. While arguably not the worst movie of the year it's detrimental impact on cinema as well as literature more than earned it the award.

They gave "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" the Worst sequel award over "Disaster Movie", nominated the shit out of Eclipse over THE LAST AIRBENDER, & no nominations to Vampires Suck. What credibility could they possibly have?

VAMPIRES SUCK was nominated for Worst Picture (although it didn't win anything).

I'm no Twi-Hard, but I seriously believe there were worse movies than Twilight from the past year. The series as a whole may not be an astounding acting achievement, but there has been far worse. I thought it was a nice ending to the story(this is coming from someone who never read the books). I'm surprised I didn't see the Total Recall remake nominated(aside from Jessica Biel).

Feb 23 - 08:18 PM

Gimhana Fernando

Twilight was the worst movie of the year for me.Went to see how it ended, walked out about 30 minutes later.Haven't seen Chernobyl Diaries,Battleship and skipped Total Recall.

Wow...I can name a dozen movies worse than twilight.
They forgot Last Ounce of Courage, Supernatural Activity, Playing for Keeps, etc.

I figured we've all grown up from lazily bashing on something because the material is too easy to bash, but what do I know?

Feb 23 - 08:40 PM

Do you mean Paranormal Activity, or some Asylum studio mock-buster? Because honestly, anything Asylum produces is more deserving of these awards.

PFK was on the ballots for Worst Picture. SA wasn't elegible because of its limited release. A Worst Propaganda Film category was suggested to nominated LOOC (among ATLAS SHRUGGED and 2016).

Zero Dark Propaganda would have fit snugly in that last category.

As another commenter mentioned, I am no fan of the twilight series, but for it to win (or rather lose) any category that featured the likes of "That's my Boy" or "Piranha 3-DD" would seem to invalidate the entire process of choosing the worst of the worst.

They are making a 6th one. It doesn't help Milla that her character is flat and uninteresting.

I'd say Kristen is more passable in BREAKING DAWN PART 2. But in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, I'd say she's as bad as Milla in RE5.

I'm glad that Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2 nearly swept the show. Did not expect Foy and Lautner to win Worst Couple as I thought Pattinson and Stewart would finally win that category. I also thought that the movie would win Worst Screenplay instead of That's My Boy.

I said "Breaking Wind" is a better name for the picture when I first heard of it and I'm sticking

I will agree that some of the movies might have been worst than Twilight, but none of them treated its fan base with less respect than this movie did. The ending of this movie showed not just how poor of a righter Stephenie Meyer is but also how weak the franchise as a hole is.
To say that it was just a dream and that everyone just goes home afterwords after some guy shows up to tell everyone it will be okay and they shouldn't kill each other, is just not insulting but also incredibly dumb. I can at least say in all the other movie there was cause and consequence to actions in those movies, but in Twilight there where literally none. Also Pedo werewolve not cool man.

wow, i didnt think that twilight could be worse than an adam sandler flick, a shitty board game adaption, a bad eddie muphy movie, and even that kids film noone in their right minds would go see

I don't know why each year they pick one movie to give all the awards to. Twilight won nearly every award as if it's the worst movie of all time, while the Rotten Tomato Meter is at nearly half.

Well, that's just lazy. How can they say a movie no one liked (A Thousand Words) is better than one that at least some people liked.

I guess since it's the last one, it's the last chance for some fair bashing before we can put it all behind us.
