Some really good shows. I was ECSTATIC when Ang Lee won. He truly deserved it, which is why I didn't think the Academy would give it to him? Lincoln got 2 for 12. OUCH! Though, it's not one of those years where a film wins 8 prizes? But it's only because that only happens when a film is much better than the rest, while this year, all of them were fantastic. I mean, for a film like Lincoln only to win 2 awards at the Oscars just goes to show that this year was truly amazing.

CHRISTOPH WALTZ!!!!!!!!! Winning again? For another Tarantino movie? Congratulations. That was incredible. I'm glad Lawrence won. Not sure if she was better than the rest, but it IS safe to say that she is HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! And a great actress.

Though, gotta admit, most people who got their name called weren't really surprised. Anne Hathaway KNEW she was getting the award. Her reaction wasn't as surprised as in the Globes?

Great show. Hope you all enjoyed it. I know I have:)

Apart from a horrid opening, I rather enjoyed this year's ceremony. Some great musical numbers. Just wish they tuned Adele's mic better. The background music was kinda drowning her out...but whatever. Seth was a serviceable host, but he had his moments.

Bigbrother

Big Brother

Yeah, that was very noticeable and it was rough seeing the crowd applaud so much for Shirley Bassey in comparison.

I compare Lawrence's win to Cuba's win years ago...not sure how that happened.

Agreed. Brave should not have won. My least favorite Pixar film besides Cars 2.

Feb 25 - 09:50 AM

Brad and Netflix

Bradly Martin

I was shocked that Brave was even nominated, but it's not like it was the WORST Animated feature of the year. Real bummer is the other 4 nominees seemed more deserving than Brave.

Glad Tarantino finally got his Oscar. He should have won Director (not even nominated!) and Picture, too, in my opinion.

Feb 24 - 10:54 PM

Anthony L.

I was thinking Spielberg should win Best Director, if the Academy decided to snub Affleck and Bigelow, who should've been the frontrunners in the Director race. It's not a bad surprise, but it would've been nice to see Spielberg take home the Oscar.

Feb 25 - 06:02 AM

And my main man Christoph Waltz winning what should have been Dicaprios award supporting actor

I assume the Academy doesn't watch animated films because Brave didn't deserve to win. I ask you this, if it wasn't Pixar would it win?

Why did Brave have to win again!!! Wreck-It Ralph, ParaNorman, and Frankenweenie were 100x better then Brave was. Curse you Pixar, you weren't brave enough to make one of your "Oscar worthly" movies your known for. Hopefully, Monsters University will be like Toy Story 3 and not like Cars 2.

Where was the quality you speak of in Brave? And especially originality. What the hell are you talking about with the originality statement?

Feb 24 - 11:00 PM

Paranorman or Wreck it Ralph should have won. If a kid movie take 45 minutes to get to the inciting incident then it shouldn't even be nominated.

He has Wolf of Wall Street coming out this year. Hopefully he'll get his due with that!

Feb 24 - 09:20 PM

King Crunk

King Crunk

He most likely would have won if nominated. The Academy wanted to side-step the controversy that would come with nominating a white man who plays an unapologetic racist and uses the n-bomb profusely throughout the entire movie.

Feb 24 - 11:03 PM

Sebastian O.

Sebastian Ochoa

Yeah, but, if he had ben nominated, Waltz wouldn't have won. Don't get me wrong, i love 'em both, but I was so glad when his name was called.

Waltz was an alright choice, but I'd have prefered Jones or Seymour Hoffman.
