Clippings

The FT’s Clippings tool allows you to store FT articles and links in customisable lists. You can then share these lists with colleagues and clients or subscribe to lists of other FT.com users.

  • How do I access FT Clippings?
    • The FT Clippings tool is available under the Tools menu of FT.com, to the right hand side of the navigation bar on the homepage. It can also be accessed directly at http://clippings.ft.com/
  • How do I create lists?
    • To create a list, click on ‘Create a list’ either from the FT Clippings page or when you clip your first article. You will be prompted to name your list and add a description. The list options page will then open, where you can:

      - Add article hyperlinks and insert comments
      - Email list contents to fellow subscribers
      - Track changes made to your lists via email alerts or via RSS feeds
      - Enable fellow subscribers to view and/or edit your list
  • How do I clip articles?
    • Click ‘Clip this article’, found at the top right hand side or bottom of any FT.com article. Alternatively, add the URL of the article into the box found at the bottom of any tab in the FT Clippings section and click ‘Add item’.

      You can also use FT Clippings in lieu of an RSS reader. Just add an FT.com RSS feed URL into the ‘Add Item’ toolbar, which will then pull FT news headlines into your FT Clippings section.
  • How many Clippings lists can I create?
    • There is no limit to how many clippings list a reader can create. There is also no limit to how many articles can be clipped to a clippings list.
