Portage - An Indiana couple was arrested and charged with felony theft for sneaking into a movie theater without paying for $6.75 tickets.
The Times of Northwest Indiana reports that Gary residents Lendsey Harbin, 49, and his 40-year-old wife Delilah Harbin, were arrested shortly after midnight on Sunday morning at the Portage 16 IMAX Theater in Portage.
According to a police report published on The Smoking Gun, the Harbins bought tickets for and saw the action film "The Snitch" starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. They then allegedly attempted to sneak into a showing of the zombie rom-com "Warm Bodies" in an adjacent theater.
The couple did not pay the $13.50 to see the second film, and a pair of off-duty police officers working at the cinema asked them to leave just as the movie began. When they couldn't produce tickets for the film, the couple was arrested and taken to the Porter County Jail. They were charged with felony theft.
"I know we done wrong," Delilah allegedly told officers, adding that she and her husband "were at a funeral all day and just were not thinking correctly," according to the police report.
