John Ridding, Chief Executive Officer

John was appointed Chief Executive of the FT in June 2006. He has been with the company for 20 years in both editorial and executive positions.

Lionel Barber, Editor

Since Lionel became editor in 2005, the FT has won many global awards for its quality journalism. These include three ‘Newspaper of the Year’ awards, which recognise the FT’s role as a ’21st century news organisation’.

Ben Hughes, Global Commercial Director and Deputy CEO

Ben is responsible for all global advertising sales operations (both print and online) and advertising production operations. He has overall responsibility for the FT Conferences and now also runs global print circulation.

Caspar de Bono, Managing Director, B2B

Caspar is responsible for the FT’s relationship with corporate subscribers, news aggregators and syndication customers.

Emma Gilpin-Jacobs, Global Director of Communications

Working with a global team of communications specialists, Emma is responsible for managing all external and internal communications for both the FT and the FT Group.

Rob Grimshaw, Managing Director, FT.com

In his role as Managing Director, FT.com, Rob Grimshaw is the Financial Times Board member responsible for the commercial development of the FT’s B2C digital business & product portfolio.

Sarah Hopkins, Global Human Resources Director

Sarah was appointed Global Human Resources (HR) Director in January 2007. She is responsible for leading all HR-related activities across the FT globally.

Angela MacKay, Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Angela leads the FT’s Asia Pacific commercial operations. She is based at its regional headquarters in Hong Kong.

Hamilton Matthews, CEO, Mergermarket Group

Hamilton joined Mergermarket in 2001 and has nearly twenty years of experience in the financial information sector. Hamilton is responsible for ensuring the strategic development of the Mergermarket Group through developing new products and reviewing potential acquisitions.

Christina Scott, Chief Information Officer

Christina Scott was appointed Chief Information Officer for the Financial Times in May 2012. She is responsible for technology across the FT Group, working closely with operational, development and delivery staff.

Tas Viglatzis, Chief Financial Officer

Tas Viglatzis joined the FT in 2007 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2013. He is responsible for overseeing the FT’s finance and acquisition strategies. He was previously in charge of strategy and corporate development, as well as managing the finances and business analytics for the FT’s online operations.
