Our commitment

The Financial Times (FT) is committed to upholding the highest possible standards of working practices and human rights.

Our parent company Pearson is a signatory to the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, which sets out ten principles on labour standards, human rights, the environment and anti-corruption.

We aim to support our suppliers in meeting these standards.

Our actions

Both Pearson’s and the FT’s key suppliers are aware of our commitments to:

• the UN Global Compact
• Pearson’s Code of Business Conduct
• environmental standards.

Pearson includes specific contractual commitments relating to labour standards and human rights in its key contracts in all parts of the world, particularly those relating to:

• paper supply
• printing
• distribution
• call centre activity.
