Tickets for third and final day of Ultra Europe 2013 finally went on sale yesterday for the event on the island of Hvar, and there were not available for long.
After a carefully orchestrated build up, tickets for the Ultra Europe Hvar finally went on sale on February 22, 2013, with all tickets selling out within three minutes of their availability online, according to a tweet from the
official Ultra Europe account.
There has been intense interest and some frustration leading up to the announcement of tickets for the event on Hvar on July 14, as there has been little concrete information forthcoming about the Hvar leg of the three-day event.
As previously reported by
Digital Journal, Ultra Europe will take up a five year residency in Croatia, with this year's event comprising two days at the Poljud Stadium in Split on July 12-3, where 60,000 people are expected to attend, followed by a more VIP event on July 14 on Croatia's premier island of Hvar. The final day will be hosted at Suncani Hvar's largest hotel, Amfora, with the audience limited to 5,000 people.
Given the large numbers of people coming to Split for the first two days, there has been intense interest in tickets for the Hvar concert, and they sold out almost immediately, despite the higher price of 80 euro.
In other announcements via its
Facebook page, Ultra Europe announced more new acts, including Erick Morilo, Marco Carola, Art Department, Reboot, Umek, Fedde Le Grand, Nicky Romero, Porter Robinson and Bingo Players.
