About the company:

Our client is a global distributor of specialized products.

They have operations in over 40 countries worldwide, serving global markets through various distribution channels. The company has an immediate opening for a Global Head of Pricing.

A new role in the company, the Global Head of Pricing will be responsible for managing a team of 15-20 team members at various locations to build and implement a new global pricing strategy designed to deliver a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

The Global Head of Pricing will work with the heads of the regional departments to develop and implement pricing tools and strategies, manage customer relationships, and achieve commercial goals.

Job description:

The Global Head of Pricing will be responsible for:

  • Lead the regional heads of pricing and third parties to develop and implement best in class global pricing tools that improve competitor pricing intelligence
  • Build and implement strategies to deliver agreed commercial goals on a global basis
  • Work with the heads of the global product groups to co-develop product and technology-specific pricing to agreed market positions, including (but not exclusively) dynamic consideration of product allocation or excess
  • Leverage quoting, web, market, supplier and other insights to effectively manage the relationship between web and non web pricing and customer specific discounts, ensuring the appropriateness of pricing to market and to specific customers or customers segments
  • Lead the global pricing team to deliver regional and global sales, profit, margin and market share goals
  • Manage global pricing workflows, the pricing decision processes and standards for products throughout their life cycle and dynamically reflective of market conditions and customer feedback
  • Develop and manage a price controlling system and feedback procedures on a global level
  • Coordinating & co-operating with external consultancies as appropriate on pricing tool selection and implementation
  • Manage the implementation and development pricing software
  • Deploy price benchmarking capabilities globally against competitors and new potential and existing online entrants including affiliates, with targets to continually improve the effectiveness of this data and other internal and external pricing insights and implement global pricing deliverables

Who we are looking for:

The ideal Global Head of Pricing should have:

  • Proven expertise and experience in a senior global pricing role with extensive on and offline pricing expertise
  • Proven ability to understand the wider global strategic context and deliver plans to optimize opportunities, mitigate risks, and create value on a multinational scale
  • Exceptional commercial judgment and communication skills
  • Proven expertise in understanding and delivering critical financial measures e.g. sales, margin and in making commercially focused decisions
  • Possess a results-focused attitude and the ability to consistently achieve demanding targets
  • Ability to achieve in highly competitive market conditions
  • Proficient at planning, prioritizing and delegating high volume workload to achieve optimum commercial gain
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external relationships, specifically through a global matrix structure.
  • Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders at board level

What's on offer:

An extremely competitive base salary of $150,000 - $175,000 + Bonus + Benefits
