A joint collaboration between The Speedy Foundation and Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation called the Hurricane for Hope benefit event and big air show will return for its second year.

Scheduled for Saturday, August 24, the event will feature a silent auction, an Olympic athlete meet-and-greet reception, and a special evening big air performance by the Flying Ace All-Stars.

In celebration of the 50th performance of “Rod Stewart: The Hits," Rod Stewart announced that he will extend his original two-year contract at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and will return for two more years beginning this fall.

As the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer wraps his summer run of performances this week, nine new November concerts have been added from November 6 through 24.

Cedar City is the place to be this summer for guitarists when the first annual Southern Utah Guitar Convention commences Friday and Saturday, August 16 and 17.

The Samoan Cultural Celebration of Utah is the largest Pacific Islander cultural event in the Intermountain region and with consistent annual attendance of approximately 10,000, the Celebration has been the largest gathering of Polynesians in the state of Utah since its inception in 1998.

This year’s event is slated to be the largest yet, prompting organizers to relocate from its previous venue in West Valley City to South Jordan.

A little over a half-decade ago, Salt Lake City attorney Chase Kimball went on a car trip to Logan to see Polish pianist Krystian Zimerman perform.
