Twelve luxury homes for sale in Salt Lake County, each priced above $1 million, opened to the public on Saturday, featuring koi ponds, indoor pools, heated marble floors, nanny quarters, hand scraped hickory floors and an elevator shaft.

"Having all of these homes open at once is a big opportunity for potential home buyers," said Joshua Stern, a Keller Williams real estate agent and organizer of the event.

Probably not for first-time home buyers.

At today’s rates, and with a down payment of $200,000, mortgage payments for a 30-year loan would be around $5,000 each month.
