The Utah Bankers Association has elected new officers and board members for 2013-2014. Anthony Hall, president and chief executive of Lewiston State Bank, was elected chairman of the association. Greg Winegardner, regional president of community banking at Wells Fargo, was elected 1st vice chairman. Kelvin L. Anderson, president and chief executive at Optum Bank, was elected 2nd vice chairman. Newly elected board members are: Paul Andersen, president and chief executive of Gunnison Valley Bank; Doug DeFries, president of Bank of Utah; Lewis Goodwin, president and chief executive of Green Dot Bank; Lee A Carter, president and COO of UBS Bank USA; Ron Ostler, president of Comenity Capital Bank; Joe Stroud, general counsel of GE Capital Bank and Louise Zeenati, senior vice president and CFO of The Village Bank.

Jewel Kade, Alpine, has announced Brett Blake has joined the company as chief executive to lead the growth of operations for the artisan jewelry and décor direct sales company.
Peak Capital Partners, an Orem-based residential multifamily investment company, announced the hiring of John Billings as vice president and Kelianne Crapo as asset manager. Billings will be responsible for the firm’s debt financing, property insurance, and development projects. Crapo will oversee asset performance and management operations for the firm’s properties located in Colorado, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
The Utah law firm of Clyde Snow & Sessions has hired Brian C. Webber as a shareholder and director in its Salt Lake City office. Webber will serve as chairman of Clyde Snow’s Health Care Practice Group. The firm also elected D. Loren Washburn to the management committee, which oversees the strategic direction of the Firm. Washburn joined the Firm in 2011 as a shareholder and is a member of the White Collar Criminal Investigation Practice Group.
CareCloud, a Miami-based company that supplies doctors offices with electronic health record systems, has announced the hiring of Paul Henry as vice president and manager of its new Salt lake City office.

Gary R. Gygi, owner of Cedar Hills-based Gygi Capital Management, has been selected by the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) — the nation’s leading resource for self-employed and micro-businesses — to serve as part of their 2013 Member Council. Council members help guide the association’s new initiatives and programs.
The Salt Lake Chamber has named Ron Jibson the 105th chairman of its Board of Governors. Jibson, president and chief executive of Questar Corporation, will serve a one-year term.
The Utah Labor Commission has announced the appointment of Jaceson Maughan as its new deputy Commissioner and general counsel.
