Chose the most effective, least invasive therapy possible:

The Avante providers' philosophy is to implement effective non-invasive therapies first, whenever possible. Avante is NOT anti-medication; we would rather choose less invasive options and lifestyle education whenever possible to prevent or, at the very least, postpone long term need for prescriptive medications. Often, this means a non-drug, front-line treatment. We know that this is not possible in some cases, and prescriptive medications must be utilized to effect change or to continue care. If your primary provider is a Naturopathic Doctor, and you require prescriptive medications, Avante will arrange for you to see one of our skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioners who can prescribe medications in Alaska. This allows a patient or an entire family to seek the comprehensive care they need under one roof.

Time allows us to treat the cause:

At Avante, the first office visit takes 1.5 hours, and follow ups range between 30 and 60 minutes. Our providers take time to thoroughly study you, your history, and truly search for the origins of your illness; a 15 minute office visit rarely provides this opportunity and leaves a patient to be treated only for their symptoms, rather than the underlying cause of their illness. This just doesn't happen at Avante. Why just scratch the surface with your medical provider when you can take the time with one of Avante's providers to seek out the cause and find lasting health?
