Harry Potter fans will be thrust back into the world of wizardry this November with the arrival of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, J.K. Rowling's prequel to the series based on one of the school textbooks the boy wizard reads at Hogwarts. A new trailer for the fantasy film has been unveiled, with Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne playing Newt Scamander, a skittish magician tasked with keeping the secrets of his suitcase in check.
"You're an interesting man, Mr. Scamander. Like your suitcase, I think there's much more to you than meets the eye," Colin Farrell's Percival Graves says in voiceover. The trailer also name-checks Harry Potter favorite Albus Dumbledore while teasing much of the magic that will be unleashed in the streets of Gilded Age era New York.
Both Rowling, who wrote the film's screenplay, and Warner Bros. have teased that Fantastic Beasts is the first film in what will be "at least" a trilogy, with sequels tentatively scheduled for 2018 and 2020.
