Rolling Stone RSS Terms of Use

RSS (really simple syndication) service is a mechanism by which Rolling Stone LLC ("Rolling Stone") offers feeds of article excerpts in XML format ("RSS Content") to visitors of rollingstone.com who use RSS aggregators. These RSS Terms of Use govern your use of the RSS service. Additionally, the use of the RSS Service is subject to the terms and conditions of the rollingstone.com Terms of Use ("RS Terms of Use"), which governs the use of rollingstone.com, and any other sites owned by Rolling Stone, and any successor websites, and other interactive properties.

Use of RSS Feeds:

RSS is a free service offered by Rolling Stone to individuals for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including, but not limited to, the incorporation of advertising into or the placement of advertising associated with or targeted towards the RSS Content, are strictly prohibited. You must use the RSS feeds as provided by Rolling Stone as made available at http://www.rollingstone.com/services/rss, and you may not edit, reformat, translate or modify the text, images, content or links supplied by Rolling Stone. For web posting, reprint, transcript or licensing requests for Rolling Stone content, please send your request to permissions@wennermedia.com.

Link to Content Pages:

The RSS service may be used only with those platforms from which a functional link is made available that, when accessed, takes the viewer directly to the display of the full article on rollingstone.com. You may not display the RSS Content in a manner that does not permit successful linking to the applicable rollingstone.com web page. You may not insert any interstitial, splash, or intermediate pages or other content or advertising between the RSS link and the applicable rollingstone.com web page.

Display:

For any article, you may not display more text than we provide in the RSS feed.

Ownership/Attribution:

Rolling Stone retains all ownership and other rights in the RSS Content, and any and all Rolling Stone logos and trademarks used in connection with the RSS service. You must retain in original form any attributions, credits and by-lines provided in the RSS feed, and you must prominently credit Rolling Stone in connection with each RSS excerpt that you publish.

Right to Discontinue Feeds:

Rolling Stone reserves the right to discontinue providing any or all of the RSS feeds at any time and to require you to cease displaying, distributing or otherwise using any or all of the RSS feeds for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, your violation of any provision of these RSS Terms of Use. Rolling Stone and its related entities assume no liability for any of your activities in connection with the RSS feeds or for your use of the RSS feeds.
