With the sixth season of Game of Thrones arriving in less than two weeks, HBO has offered up another two-minute look teasing what fans can expect. While the first trailer for Season Six focused on bloodshed and warfare, the latest preview offers a glimpse into the rising tensions that lead to the battlefield as well as the aftermath of the carnage.

"You would spill blood in this holy place?" Jonathan Pryce's High Sparrow asks Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's Jaime Lannister in one of the trailer's many life-or-death encounters. "The gods won't mind," Lannister barks back. "They've spilled more blood than the rest of us combined."

Noticeably absent from the trailer: Any signs of life from Jon Snow, the beloved character who was killed off at the end of Season Five. While fans hold out hope that Snow might come back in some capacity, producers are insisting, "Jon Snow is dead." (Another ominous sign of the character's fate: Actor Kit Harington did not attend a Season Six premiere party.)

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 24th.
