On 10 July 2016 we published an article reporting a claim that Rolf Harris was caught with pornographic magazines in his prison cell. Mr Harris's solicitors have since asked us to make it clear that the claim is false.
Following our article "Green to get extra £35million for BHS" we wish to make it clear that the money is owed to Arcadia Group Limited (not Sir Philip Green personally)
In an article published on our website on 20 March 2016 we stated that Johann Djourou and his partner, Emilie Pastor, had participated in "saucy sex scenes in French films". We accept that this was inaccurate. The photograph used to illustrate the article was taken from a humorous promotional clip for the film NOLA Circus and was shot five years ago and we acknowledge that neither Mr Djourou nor Ms Pastor has ever appeared in an erotic film. We are happy to correct the position and to apologise for the distress caused.
Following our article “Galloway Sparks Walkout” in which we reported that hundreds of people had stormed out of an anti-EU rally after George Galloway made anti-Semitic remarks and talked about Iran instead of the EU deal, we now accept that these allegations were incorrect.
On November 25, under the headline “Betrayal of our babies”, we reported on a study by Dr William Palmer, stating that “770 babies delivered each year in NHS hospitals on a Saturday or Sunday are either still born or die within seven days – 7.3% more than during the week”.
Following our article "“Former beauty queen who fell into life of prostitution and drug addiction is found dead at her home” of 22 december 2015 we would like to make clear that Natalie Gentle had never been convicted of being a prostitute and denied she was a prostitute during a civil case against her that was subsequently overturned. We would like to apologise to her mother, Suzanna, for any upset caused."
Regarding our article "'Constipation-obsessed' care home matron struck off for giving residents laxatives SIX times a day", which reported a Nursing and Midwifery disciplinary hearing
