Protecting Those Who Protect Us
Aho is putting her exercise science degree to work as a personal trainer who works with first responders. She helps firefighters stay in shape and prevent on-the-job injuries.
Connecting Kids to Science
Over the summer, Christman taught a workshop called “Experiments in Science” to a group of children from RIT’s Kids on Campus program. By helping to change their perspectives on who and what a scientist is, Christman is shaping the minds of tomorrow’s scientists.

Lou Spiotti Jr. will begin his 40th season as executive director of Intercollegiate Athletics at RIT this fall. He is one of a few directors in all of college athletics—Division I, II and III—to serve in that position for 40 years.

Anderson Cooper headlines RIT’s Brick City Weekend
Journalist Anderson Cooper, anchor of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360° and a correspondent for CBS’s 60 Minutes, will be the Student Government Distinguished Speaker at Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend, Oct. 18-20. The weekend typically draws 17,000 participants to RIT’s campus and the Rochester area and features more than 100 events during three days.

RIT selects endowed executive director for new Global Cybersecurity Institute
Steve Hoover, former chief technology officer and senior vice president at Xerox and former chief executive officer of the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), has been named to the newly created position of endowed executive director of RIT’s Global Cybersecurity Institute.
