The RIT Alumni Association proudly supports nearly 130,000 RIT alumni that live and work around the world. Our dedicated staff and alumni volunteers provide the RIT alumni community with a variety of ways to connect and reconnect to each other, current students and faculty and of course, the university in general.
Our Alumni Stories
The Sky’s the Limit
Gordon started Optic Sky, an animation company, after graduating from RIT with a degree in film. He helps develop new talent by inviting RIT students to work on his production crews.
Innate Happiness
Happiness of employees and driving business outcomes are DeVito's main focus at Butler Till Media and Communications. Knowing all the work and energy she puts into driving a client's business is satisfaction in itself.
Protecting Those Who Protect Us
Aho is putting her exercise science degree to work as a personal trainer who works with first responders. She helps firefighters stay in shape and prevent on-the-job injuries.
Giving Back
After 9/11, Wheeler enlisted in the US Army and served as a doctor in Afghanistan. Now, she practices family medicine and serves as a preceptor to RIT students who are embarking on their own careers in medicine.

Global Cybersecurity Institute to open in 2020
Cybercrime is costing the world trillions of dollars, and analysts say that there aren’t enough qualified professionals to prevent those attacks. To address this problem, RIT is creating the Global Cybersecurity Institute (GCI), aimed at meeting the demand for computing security and artificial intelligence professionals, while developing future technologies, protocols and human understanding needed to address the global cybersecurity crisis.
