| How do I change my email address in my account? Log in to your account and click on Control Panel in the upper left of the site. Enter your new email address in the Control Panel and click submit. You will receive an automated authorization email within a few minutes to the new email address. You must follow the directions in that email it re-activate your account. Back to top |

| I can't remember my password, what do I do? Go to the login page and click I've forgotten my password. While your password cannot be retrieved it can be reset. | How do potential buyers contact me through my Classified Ad? The email address in your profile is the only way for buyers to contact you with the "Email this Advertiser" link in your Classified Ad. | How do I add pictures? If you are placing your Ad in the Classifieds section, you can add photos on the Place an Ad screen. If you have already placed an Ad, use the Manage screen to upload more photos. If you would like more than the nine free photos in your Ad, you can either Feature your Ad or pay for Additional Photos in your Manage screen. Detailed process to add photos to an existing Ad:

| My photos will not post, what do I do? They may be too big. The size limit is 3MB in the Classifieds. In order to shrink your photos you need a program like Photoshop or a utility that may have come with your computer operating system (for instance, Windows). Your digital camera may have come with a program that will let you shrink them too. If you have a slow connection (56KB or less modem) and large photos, you may have to upload them one at a time. | For how long will my Ad run? Ads run until you delete them. We clean up old Ads every 90 days, but if you edit your Ad using the Manage screen, it will be renewed for another 90 days. | I just placed an Ad, why can't I see it? When you successfully place an Ad, you will get a confirmation screen. If this doesn't happen, it is likely that an error occured and you may need to re-submit your Ad. Back to top |

| Can I edit or delete my own Classified Ad? When you are logged in, you can use the Manage screen found on the Classifieds navigation bar, to edit, delete, add photos, or upgrade your Ads with bold red text, additional photos, or feature your Ads. Back to top |

| I placed some Classified Ads this morning and now they are gone, what happened? If you placed a non-VW Ad, an invalid trade Ad, or placed the same Ad in every category, your Ads have probably been deleted. Make sure to follow the posting guidelines on the Place an Ad screen. | Why can't I get access to manage my Classified Ad? 99% of the time, this means you have forgotten or incorrectly typed your password. If you are not sure of your password use the Forgot My Password link on the Login page. Back to top |

| I edited my Classified Ad but it did not jump to the top of the listing, why? The date only updates if it's been 14 days. It will pop up to the top of the listings at that point too. The 14 days includes the time too, down to the hour. So if your Ad was placed at 3 pm, 14 days aren't up until 3 pm. Back to top |

| What are the benefits of a Featured Ad? Featured Ads allow for up to 18 photos, are randomly displayed on TheSamba.com Home Page, appear on the Main Classifieds page, appear at the top of whatever category the Ad was placed in, and are highlighted with a blue background in the main listings. | How do I pay for a Featured Ad? After placing your Classified Ad, you will be asked if you want to Feature it. If so, you are directed to the Paypal.com link to immediately create an upgraded Ad. There is additional payment information if you wish to pay by cash, check, or money order. Back to top |

| I just paid for a Featured Ad, when will it appear? If you pay with Paypal.com, your Ad should be featured immediately. Paypal sometimes errors out so if it doesn't appear within 10-15 minutes, feel free to email me. Back to top |

| Do I need to pay for Extra Photos also when I Feature my Ad? No, Featured Ads allow up to 18 photos, so paying for the Extra Photos upgrade would be redundant. Also note that Premium Members automatically receive the Extra Photos upgrade on all of their Ads. Back to top |

| How does becoming a Premium Member save money in Ad Upgrades? Premium Members get a 10% discount on all Featured Ads and all regular Ads are automatically upgraded to the Extra Photos option. | I am trying to search for: engine parts (as a single phrase). I have tried engine + parts, "engine parts", engine+parts. What am I doing wrong? | What is the difference between clicking the New Ads - 2 days vs. clicking All Ads - 2 days on the main Classifieds page? New Ads = New Ads that have been placed in the past 2 days. All Ads = New Ads plus all older Ads that have been edited in the past 2 days. Back to top |

| What is the eBay category for? The eBay section is only there as a service to the VW community. If you post a free Classified Ad for your current eBay auction, it MUST be placed in the eBay category. If you edit an existing Ad because you listed the item on eBay, you MUST move your Samba Ad to the eBay category. Abuse of this rule may result in all your Ads being deleted. Back to top |

| What are Alerts? When you sign up for Alerts, you receive Classified Ads directly to your email account, based on keywords you set up. It eliminates the hassle of having to search through pages and pages of classified ads. | Scams |
| I think I've been ripped off by a seller in the Classifieds, what can I do? First, take into account shipping times and that not everyone returns e-mails or phone calls immediately, try waiting at least 30 days. Posting a detailed description of what happened in the Classifieds Forum warns others against being ripped off and may pressure the culprit to rectify the situation. Depending on the details of the transaction, eBay, Paypal, the Postal Service, or the local police may be of assistance in helping you. Back to top |

| I may have been contacted by a scam artist, what do I do? If you have been contacted by a scammer like the ones described here notify me immediately so I can ban their Samba account and/or block their email from the site. Although, we have taken steps to prevent scammers from contacting advertisers, if you choose to list your email directly in your Ad (instead of only allowing potential buyers contact you through the "contact this advertiser" link), those measures will not be as effective. | I found an Ad where the phone number has been disconnected/doesn't work and the person doesn't respond to email, shouldn't it be deleted? Should I report it? You can report the Ad if you want me to check into it but it will probably not end up removed. We don't remove Ads unless the seller requests it, in most cases.
