Held at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC at the Expo Building. Swap spaces and Show car entries we recommend pre-registration This is a Saturday event with pre-show setup on Friday afternoon evening. Hours 10-4 Admission $10 (12 & under free) Show car entry $30(includes one entry) All Vendors $50 (includes one admission) 10x20 space All vendors will have to fit all their items within their space allowed. If you only reserved one, then you must fit everything within your space. Please make that decision as you pre-register. Vendors will be allowed in on Friday to get their items in, especially if you have a trailer. We want to be able to accommodate as many as we can. FREE SPECTATOR PARKING. Please note that if you were previously registered for Bug-a-Palüza 2020 and did not choose to refund or donate your fee, your registration will be automatically carried over to 2021. This two day festival features a VW car show with classes for air-cooled and water-cooled, a huge swap meet with vendors selling new and used parts, and a campout Friday and Saturday nights. Plus plenty of food, contests, prizes, and more. Custom trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each class on Sunday. All event proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga. In previous years, we donated over $25,000. Help us top that for 2021! Spectator entrance is just $5 per person for the entire weekend. Children 12 and under admitted free. Show car registration - $20 per vehicle, or $10 for a non-judged spot. Awards given to the Top 10 air-cooled, Top 10 water-cooled, HAVOC President's choice, Sponsor choice, Kids' choice and Worst of Show. Vendors setup at 7 AM (20'x25' space - $25 or 2/$40). Show cars and Spectator entry at 8 AM (both by donation). Show cars must be registered by Noon for judging. Food and drinks available for purchase from PARenfaire and Mount Hope Estate. Grills are not permitted. Fun for the whole family with children's activities. Dog friendly event, but must be leashed and tended to. Park on the grass, near trees at the Madera Fairgrounds. 26 years in the making... in 2019 over 450 VWs and 90 swappers were on hand. Half hour TV show is filmed featuring many of the owners and Vdubs. it is broadcast on Father's Day morning on a local TV station. Over 23 participant judged classes for most VWs. Stock or custom. Both air cooled and water cooled VWs are invited. We park vehicles in class or by club. The New Old Stock VW host club can only display, not enter their VWs. Hot VW's has featured our club's show the last two active years in their magazine. It truly is one of the best in California. Camp Friday April 23 and Saturday April 24 night if you wish. Show and Swap on Sunday April 25 7am to 3pm. Hot Wheel VW racing for the kids. (Bring your Hot Wheels type VW. Kid's banana eating contest. VW Toy contest. Kids VW coloring contest. All FREE! The Madera Fairgrounds feature some of the nicest real bathrooms. Restaurants and stores within walking distance. Diner night and mini show on Saturday night. Prices: 20' x 20' swap space $20 on Sunday (camp in it for $20 more) Show your VW on Sunday only $20. April 2-3, 2022 All VW’s are welcomed and encouraged to attend We are at it once again. For those who did not have a chance to participate in Herbie The Love Bug’s 50 Year Anniversary which included the Lakeland VW Classic pictured above, we are doing it again in April of 2022, celebrating 53 Years since the release of the very first movie. This time around, there are going to be even more Herbies than ever from around the US and Canada plus numerous fans from around the world. But we wanted to make it special for everyone as well so we decided to open up the last two days of the event to ALL VW’s. Detailed planning is just now starting due to the COVID-19 Virus, but we have locked in April 3rd with the speedway which will give us access to the infield for a real celebration including a judged show and the ability to run laps and have pictures taken in front of the world famous Start/Finish line. This is simply the first notice of it’s kind so that everyone can put it on their calendars and start saving a few dollars so that you can participate as well. This will be a non-profit event and we have already coordinated with other shows in the area such as No-Dough which is also normally held in April to minimize conflicts. The details of the event will be handled by the Executive Board, but we will need help with the execution of this event.
