posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is breaking its 18-year dry spell on three-dimensional girls. This year's 36th issue, slated to hit store shelves in Japan on August 4, will include gravure images of actress Rika Adachi and Nogizaka46 idol Rina Ikoma dressed as the girls from Nisekoi.
The last time the boys' magazine included gravure images was in 1996 with actress Yumi Adachi, who recently appeared as the spider woman Jorōgumo in the live-action xxxHOLiC.
Rika Adachi and Rina Ikoma posed for the photos as part of a promotion of their current television series Tokusō Keisatsu Jumpolice. The program which presents Shueisha's four manga magazines (Weekly Shonen Jump, Jump Square, V Jump, and Saikyō Jump), premiered on April 4. The actresses star as members of "Jumpolice, an organization formed to protect the peace of Earth and Jump." They "thoroughly investigate the appeal of Jump titles through various approaches."
