Following last night's episode (3rd April) of Married At First Sight Australia on E4, viewers have taken to social media to praise Sandy Jawanda for her behaviour in the commitment ceremony.

Much of the recent episode focused on the cheating scandal between Claire and Adam, with the revelation they had kissed on a night out coming out earlier in the show. For context, Claire was married to Jesse and Adam was married to Janelle when the kiss happened.

In the previous episode, which featured the weekly dinner party, many members of the group held the pair accountable for their actions. Whilst Adam was apologetic to Jesse, he tried to defend his actions by claiming he and Janelle were in a "bad place" when the kiss occurred. Claire on the other hand, expressed remorse for Jesse and Janelle and appeared visibly uncomfortable at the dinner party.

Following the dinner party, in last night's episode during the commitment ceremony, fellow brides Alyssa and Melinda called Claire out for her behaviour, saying they couldn't get over Claire lying to Janelle when Janelle previously asked Claire if she could trust Adam and said they were holding her to account.

It was at this point that Sandy stepped in and argued that given Claire had been remorseful about her actions, the group should be able to forgive her.

She said: "She’s being accountable by apologising and saying “I’ve done the wrong thing’ and coming forward. That is holding yourself accountable.

"I don’t know what else she can do right now."

After watching Sandy defend Claire, who appeared visibly upset, many viewers praised Sandy's words, with some calling her the "voice of reason".

One person said: "Very well said Sandy. It seemed some of the cast found it a lot easier to drill Claire than they did Adam, didn’t it?"

Another said: "Thank you Sandy cuz I don’t know what else they want from her too. Enough is enough. Claire is clearly contrite."

And another said: "Sandy is true a girls girl, she is 100% right about Claire, she’s owning her mistake and the other girls won’t demonise Adam but will do it to her?"

It is worth pointing out the women did also hold Adam accountable, with Alyssa visibly upset with his actions and many of the others calling him out for his behaviour.

It appears since filming ended Claire and Sandy have formed a tight bond, often posting pictures together on their Instagrams and hanging out.

We love to see a supportive female friendship.
