Selling Sunset season 7 may not involve longtime cast member Heather Rae El Moussa.

Having appeared on Netflix's real estate hit since the pilot, Heather took some time away from the spotlight to welcome her and husband Tarek's first child recently – a boy named Tristan Jay.

But speaking to E! News ahead of the show's sixth season premiere, Heather suggested her future on our screens is up in the air.

"Season 6 is coming out soon. I don't think they've announced the air date, but soon you guys will find out," Heather teased.

"Season 7 is filming right now, but I've been off [on] maternity leave and I've been excited to get back to work, and so far I have not been called back."

"It's been a little frustrating. So [I'm] not sure what's been going on," Heather added.

"I've been there from the pilot, from the beginning."

Meanwhile, big boss Jason Oppenheim previously hinted that the Selling Sunset newcomers make quite a splash during the upcoming episodes following the departure of Christine Quinn, who won't feature in at least the next two seasons of Selling Sunset.

"I think everyone thought that everyone was going to get along and there would be less drama, but I think that is not the case. Arguably that's good for the show, but I don't know if that's good for me and the work dynamic," he said.

"Definitely there have been some issues between agents this season."

As for Mary Fitzgerald, she's taken on a "larger role as the manager" of the firm.

Cosmopolitan UK has reached out to Netflix for comment.

Selling Sunset seasons 1-5 are streaming now on Netflix.
