Er, YES! As of mid-February 2023, applications are officially being accepted. Casting for the new series - filming later this year - is now open for UK residents who are over 18.
What is Love Is Blind UK's expected release date?
While nothing more specific has been confirmed, Netflix have promised a 2024 release date, adding that filming would take place later in 2023. Exciting stuff.
When was Love Is Blind UK confirmed?
Announcing the news in a press release on 8th February, Netflix said, "Netflix is in production on an adaptation of hit series Love Is Blind, where singletons in the UK who want to be loved for who they are, rather than what they look like, will sign up for a less conventional approach to modern dating."
What will happen in Love Is Blind UK?
The show will follow exactly the same format as the US version: "Love Is Blind: UK will see singles talk to a host of potential love interests without the distractions from the outside world, with the hope of building a meaningful connection.
"Once cupid’s work is done, they will propose to their chosen partner and then lay their eyes on their fiancé for the first time. Engaged and back in the real world, as the couples plan their wedding day, they will attempt to add a physical connection to their emotional bond. When their much-awaited wedding day arrives, will they discover that love is indeed blind? Or will the realities of everyday life and external factors have sabotaged them?"
Who will host Love Is Blind UK?
So far, nothing has been confirmed, but Netflix have said the show will have "new British hosts" at the helm. Maya Jama? AJ Odudu? Joel Dommett? The possibilities are endless.
