Always love Studio Colorido's stuff, so I'm glad there was a writeup for the panel. Really excited for Drifting Home and I can't wait to see what their other two Netflix films are gonna be. I wonder if they'll ever become large enough to produce a series?

I think there are a few complicating factors in it:
It's Aniplex. I can't think of a time they haven't released an incredibly expensive collector's version of a show.

The first season has actually already been released.

Since then, Funiroll has also produced a dub for the first season.
So the question is how they release the S1 dub in addition to the following seasons, which would presumably have the English-language dub track provided as well. Would they do a Demon Slayer-style release, where the premium version gets released and then a less premium version gets released later? Would Aniplex's version only have the JP track whereas Funiroll's has both JP and EN? (I'd presume Aniplex would negotiate with Sony for rights to the dub and it'd be a matter of an agreeable price. Licensing is hard.)

I'm no insider so I have no way of knowing what's actually happening; I'm just thinking about what it was like back in the day now that I'm the old guy and applying it to the current industry.

Been looking forward to this show since the first PV came out and this is the second time I've been a fan of a Franz Ferdinand OP/ED song choice. I honestly don't really mind the wait for September either since I know I tried to keep up with too many shows this Spring and could use a break this summer haha

Shame about the dub, curious which studio worked on it (Bang Zoom, Studiopolis, NYAV Post, etc...). Feels like there's a lot I could say about the batting average for Netflix dub scripts (which is a bizarre pattern considering they are not dubbed under a single entity in the slightest and are made up by multiple different studios & writers), but way too random of a tangent to hop on for an Anime Expo premiere review.
