The turnaround with Love Live games is getting pretty bad. Still mourning SIF.
Kinda makes me wonder if the in-game currency isn't going to sell as well anymore because fans now know that their cards will be wiped within a couple years when a new mobage is released to take its place and reset everyone.

Didn’t numbers (both players and income) for SIFAS fall off a cliff soon after it came out when people saw that it wasn’t what they expected gameplay wise? I remember one of my Discord friends mentioning that on Twitter.

Anyway, soon after SIF ended, I was expecting this. And it’s not like Nijigasaki will be abandoned after SIFAS dies, as they’re still making some content for them in SIF2, they still do lives and the like (even if it’s not as much as the other Love Live projects because all the seiyuu are involved in other projects).

Considering the recent "treatment" of [email protected] old games and the fact that Bamco have rights on LL too - probably not just only Bushiroad involved with this cases Mad

Many people, prior to the release of SIFAS, expected it to be a "simple" rhythm game like SIF or Bandori. SIFAS had never been advertised as such, with announcements saying it would have RPG elements and had aspects like some of the idolmaster games.

Some players dropped off when they didn't get what they expected (even though what they were expected wasn't what was advertised), others dropped off after the "problems" caused by chapter 2 of the main game story.

At that time, KLab got rid of it and handed it off to Bushiroad.

When Nijigasaki was announced, it was created for SIFAS. During the announcement, they said that Niji wouldn't be getting anime, that they were for the games (of course that changed later).

I'm thinking that Bushiroad wanted to make a major update to SIFAS, such as add Leilla, but were unable to with the coding and game engine they got from KLab and decided that it was easier/cheaper to roll everything into SIF2 rather then try to fix it.

Many of the currently reported problems with SIF2 (only available in JP at the moment) are related to them rushing the game into service.
