Oakland actor Angus Cloud has been commemorated in a mural in his hometown.

Cloud, who grew up in Oakland, was found dead in his family’s home on Monday. He was 25 years old. Following his death, a group of his friends joined local artist Darin Balaban in painting a 9-foot-high mural commemorating him, according to CBS. The mural features a black-and-white portrait of the actor smiling out from the wall, hands clasped together. Next to his face, “ANGUS” is emblazoned in all capital letters.

Cloud is best known for his breakout role in HBO’s “Euphoria,” where he plays a warm-hearted drug dealer named Fezco. Prior to this role, he had never acted before; he was an employee at a restaurant in New York when the “Euphoria” casting director scouted him off of the street, launching his acting career.

Since acting in “Euphoria,” Cloud appeared in music videos and acted in five films, three of which are not yet released.

The mural, painted onto the side of a car wash on East 19th Street and Park Boulevard, has drawn fans and mourners. TMZ reported that a crowd of people gathered around the mural for a candlelight vigil shortly after it was completed.

“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone,” his family said in a statement provided to the Associated Press.
