AimeeB.Jun 21, 2008If you like Guitar Hero then I am sure you would like this, however I just cannot understand the hype of this game. I mean if I want to play a computer game, thats what I want it to be. This is not only repetative and dull but your wasting good time as you could go and learn the guitar for real and maybe pick up a useful skill along the way, much more rewarding.

DanJ.Dec 19, 2007You want to play guitar, get a REAL guitar. These Guitar Hero games are nothing but crap. You will get more satisfaction from playing songs on a real guitar then you would pressing a bunch of buttons. Guitar Hero is pathetic.

SteveCFeb 8, 2008Good, but too easy to complete on easy and medium levels. The songs don't change with the difficultly levels and many of them aren't that good to start with so there's little motivation to slog through on hard and above. Played it lots for the first couple of weeks, now the les paul just sits in the corner.

ZombieW.Nov 25, 2007Simply amazing! While the controls can often be counter-intuitive and the sound is only in mono, the set-list is great, the guitar is far nicer than the 360's or PS3's, and the replay value is extremely high in my opinion. Not to mention the game is $10 cheaper than other systems. Certainly a must-have!

MarkL.Nov 5, 2007My hand hurts from playing too much. Great setlist. Little disappointing that there is no downloadable content for Wii.

MikeG.Dec 30, 2007Best of all GH games, i wish they'd left out the boss battles (lou on expert is cheap). And Dan, instead of playing ANY video game, go do IT in real life: sports, racing, gutiar, etc. For the rest of us who aren't good at these things, there's video games.

JonS.Oct 27, 2007It is amazingly fun. The only problem is that some of the songs are hard and take alot of practice.

MattM.Mar 4, 2008Yah, best game ive ever played. Thats why its a ten from me. Also, I thought id agree with Mike just to piss off Dan. Dan, next time you pick up a controller to play madden, why not go play real professional football. Get outta your moms basement and get a life

CouchPotatoNov 12, 2007Fun game, but lack of true stereo is a big flaw. Instead, you simply have two identical mono channels coming out of each speaker. Lame!

CooldudeNov 17, 2007Honestly... this the best Guitar Hero of them all, and to add to that it has its exclusive wii features including a rumbler and speaker on the wiimote... Activision has done a good job even better than Harmonix... Despite the Guitar and Songs im giving it a 9 for lack of sterio and surround capabilities but still im saying dont tel that be in the way of getting this game!

danchristensonFeb 12, 2008This game goes nowhere, its just pressing 5 coloured buttons to get a note to beat a level, and whatever that means. This game provokes on unrealistic fun, it bores you out by a sense of enjoyment, then a falling remenense of dissapointment, due to nothing new or refreshing, or brilliant for that matter.

ChrisW.Jun 23, 2008Guitar hero is fun.... at first. It got boring very quick and there's no real video game talent involved in this game. It's just a one way game and no point. the Wi-Fi is the only good thing about it.

Oct 29, 2010This is an excellent video game in the Guitar Hero series. I'm pretty much good at Hard and Expert as well as Easy and Medium. I'll always love this game.

Apr 3, 2013I have to admit, I have never played GH I and II since they werent made to Wii. But that summer when me and my brother picked up this game after helping our dad so we could get money was awesome. We did stage performances and perfected our playing. My brother reached nearly to the last song of expert and I started my own expert career. Still today lots of fun with friends due to awesome song list.

Jul 23, 2014I've been playing Guitar Hero for a loooong time, and this one is not very fun, overall. The features and songs are nothing compared to Guitar Hero: World Tour. If you're thinking of getting this, get World Tour instead. You'll be glad you did.

Oct 9, 2017A super good rhythm game! I have to take a couple points away because the next installment showed just how great the game could become, but this entry is super solid.

Hardcore GamerI got a gang of friends together to test it out and we spent hours unlocking songs and fooling around, but, because some of us are guitar heroes and some are guitar zeroes, having a truly quality time is a tougher than it should be. It's still well worth a look. [Nov 2007, p.63]
-
Nintendo PowerFor my money, though, thanks to its strong song lineup and wireless rock capabilities--it's the perfect progression for the series. [Dec 2007, p.84]
