    If you're new to the series, it's an absolute must to experience this wholly unique game, and thankfully there's more than enough excuse for older fans to step foot once more onto the USG Ishimura.

    In many ways, Dead Space is still the game you remember from 2008, but this is the way it was supposed to be played. Despite a few nitpicks, the Dead Space remake improves on the original in every conceivable way. Not only that, it reminds us of the potential the franchise has and makes us look forward to future chapters in the series. We hope, desperately, that Isaac Clarke isn’t absent for another ten years, especially as the survival horror genre enters a period of renaissance. In space, no one can hear you scream, but your neighbors will.

    Dead Space is a remake done right. It builds on what the original game did well, delivering in terms of tension and environment, adding new layers as it goes. Should you be a fan of what the franchise did in the past, or are just looking to have your spine tingled, I would suggest you give Dead Space a go. And use headphones, yeah?

    The Dead Space remake successfully revives a beloved survival horror franchise with gloriously gory aplomb. Nothing that made the original so good has been compromised, even with all the new additions. Bring on Dead Space 2!

If you loved the original game you’ll love this as well, the story is totally different while being exactly the same. Everything’s been switched about to fit in with the two sequels without losing what made the original such an amazing game. Totally worth the price, go out and grab it.… Expand

But on the other hand,I've played a compareable came that came out sometime earlier. And I think I know now why Dead Space im considered the best in the genre. Everything is just perfect to me. Atmosphere, Level designs, Enemy differences and combinations. The slighty increasing rate in hardness and scaryness. I'm not completely through it, but I'm thrilling to play the game on and I'm honestly hoping for a remake of the second and third one. Would instantly buy.… Expand

    Easily one of the best remakes I've seen in awhile, this game just goes to show how truly excellent the original game was as there's not a tonEasily one of the best remakes I've seen in awhile, this game just goes to show how truly excellent the original game was as there's not a ton of things different here from the original. Giving Isaac Clarke a voice really made him standout much more then in the original and bringing back his voice actor from Dead Space 2 and 3 from back in the day was a nice touch. All the story beats are the same as last time but there's a lot of added context for multiple side characters that wasn't in the original game. I also really liked how they added an alternate ending to the second playthrough that gives people a better idea of what happens between the 1st and 2nd games originally. This really is one of the better remakes I've played. I only hope that EA does the franchise justice in how it goes forward with it.… Expand

    1080p resolution is a sad joke. Very weak textures. Price too high for such poor quality.
