    My main gripe with this game is that it prioritizes build over precise movement and timing. It's basically impossible to wear down boss health slowly. You're required to stagger them in order to do significant damage, which means doing a lot of damage in a small window, which basically means tinkering with your build until you figure out their weakness. Which I wouldn't be too bothered about except that switching your build is tedious and confusing because of the weight and energy limits. The writing is bland and there is just too much action going on for the game to really give you proper feedback about what you're doing wrong so that you can try to improve, in other words, the difficulty is undigestible, which is just another reason why tinkering with your build matters more than anything. Normally I would just watch some guides online if I'm stuck but I'm finding that I don't care enough. The game is really hard but also not satisfying or enjoyable enough for me to make me want to push through the difficulty. I'm putting this game down indefinitely without beating the first major boss. It's not a rage-quit either. I only spent about 45 minutes on him and I got him down to about a third of his health multiple times and I'm just not interested in continuing. This is exacerbated by the checkpoint system, where if I decide to turn the game off, I am punished by having the do the whole level again. I regret that I supported fromsoftware in this regressive return to their past. In fairness, the game was not made for me and fromsoftware has gained their reputation from doing whatever they want. The real enemy is the playstation store for not allowing refunds within a small window like steam does. I originally gave this game a 4 but I'm adjusting it to 0 to offset the toxicity of the fans who insist that me not enjoying it is a character flaw on my part.… Expand

    Top tier mecha game ever. It have so fun and challenging, i know maybe it will be difficult for some people but be focused and take ur time to learn.

    If you love mechs it's good fun. If you love good games it's a bit messy. I hope patches can Help with the janky controls and awkward camera. The bosses need balancing too. The devs need to add a buy new kit feature without replaying the entire level. The boss will force you to change your kit in unfair ways. Also the story isn't great and it's not told well.     The initial controls are horrible for this game and you will need to rebind the keys for easier controls on thr controller. The HUD and UI are terrible and they need to add accessibility options to increase the size of the information around the reticle.     The combat gets boring because difficulty spikes and most of the weapons are useless against bosses and other ACs.

    The customization isn't that great either. There's no transmog between all the types of armor. There aren't that many leg types to chose from. The stats are convulted even if you read what they are. The bosses also ruin experiment.

    I would also recommend watching the first tutorial mission bosses and the chapter 1 conclusion boss to see of you'd like this game.

    Unfortunately Sony will not let you refund this game even if you play it for 5 minutes so wait for sale as the game isn't very long and requires you to beat the game 3 times to get the final ending so you'll have to repeat some missions over again.

    I beat the game 3 times since I was stuck with it and don't recommend this game on PS5 because of their refund policy.    … Expand

    Fun and challenging game with tight controls and stressful boss fights. Story and graphics leave a bit to be desired but aren’t bad and the atmosphere and art style make you not even mind. Some frustrating skill checks until you start unlock enough parts to deal with every scenario and get enough know-how to set yourself up for success.     It's a good game with about 30% of Soul Like that doesn't belong in there at all, it also last for way too long, clocking in at 30ish hours give it or take, I might have stomach it a little bit better if only there were at least more parts, but as it is, it can be somewhat barebones, (I.E. for example having only 3 or 4 types of quad legs).

    I'm disappointed with Armoured Core 6. Controlling the Mech was very difficult, trying to hover, shoot and move the camera around to see the enemies felt awful. I carried on playing to see if it would get better but i just didn't enjoy it. I only thing i really liked about it was the Mech customisation.

    Final we get a new Armoured and its one of the best Mech games ever..Aoured core has always Been great but in the last decade Fromsoft have obviously come into their own and Armoured Core benefits from this. The combat is a blast weather you shattering and turret with a mini gun or chipping away at another mech that is 10 storie tall it's fun snd addictive and keeps your grinding to affordFinal we get a new Armoured and its one of the best Mech games ever..Aoured core has always Been great but in the last decade Fromsoft have obviously come into their own and Armoured Core benefits from this.     This game plays, looks and feels amazing. A truly fun and new challenge from a series I'd never hears of before with that amazing FromSoftware touch. Anyone whining about this game can't control their kindergarten level emotions. Game's a blast and incredibly detailed and I've loved every minute of it so far

    I think it's loads of fun. The mechs are cool. I like the dialogue that goes along with the story. Replaying missions for more currency is cool. Every time I hit a wall, I think of options I have to customize my mech and that helps over come difficulties.

    This game is amazing. Graphics and gameplay are good, difficulty is balanced and bosses are unique in their movesets and designs. Also, the locations are big and beautiful.

This is armored core at it's roots and it is absolutely excellent. I love the details of trees being knocked down as you're boosting your AC towards some hopeless MT enemy. There are so many deep mechanics and techniques to learn. The breadth of optionsAnother exceptional game from From. This time we're back to the series roots and it is really evoking of the PS1 era Armored Core games. This is armored core at it's roots and it is absolutely excellent. I remember struggling with these games as a kid they’ve always been intense 3-axis mech battles so I’m not sure why people are rating it low for being what it’s always been. Anyone who bought this game expecting it to be babies first AC bought it for the wrong reason I can tell you that much. Due to QoL improvements it’sIt’s definitely an armored core game through and through. It’s a shame such a legendary creator is getting pigeon holed into a single category. AC is and has always been a completely different beast and this entry is no exception to the rule.     Now the gameplay, its so good. Its just works and the ui might look like chaos at the beginning and the controls might be awkward at first but let me tell you after u get full control it actually feels like ur in the mech.     Good graphics, its not like hyper realism but its actually nice. Sometimes it feels like ur watching a Michael bay movie with all the explosions and stuff.
    Buy it, its worth it. We need more developers like from software and larian studios

    - its a difficult game, controls and gameplay. U might even say harder then the souls-series. But once get good and figure out the controls. its still a hard game but its not unfair, u actually want to figure out the weakness of bosses. Change ur mech, change weapons, change ur playstyle and the very good thing is u dont need to go to the main menu to change ur mech. On ur death screen u can actually change parts and go right back to the boss.
    - No walking to the boss, Exactly what i said, no walking to the boss. Ur 1hp and u already know ur not gonna win? Press start and select restart checkpoint. Quick loading time u can play after like 4 seconds again. Maybe even faster. Right back to the boss just to get beat up again.

    How to win:
    Like every from software game there is ways to make the game easier, not with difficulty settings but with build and playstyle. Get high defence, dual wield auto rifles like the first weapon or smg and if ur get further in the game u can buy minigun. Later u get the option to OS Tune, basicly its a passive skill tree. Get the tune where u can place weapons on shoulder part. And also get pulse armor. Now head to assembly mode and equip a sword on ur lefg shoulder. Now everytime the boss is stunned switch to that b* and do the charging attack. Easy damage.    … Expand

    IMPORTANT: This game is NOT a "soulsbornkiroring-like" or whatever stupid name game journalists came up with. It does not PLAY like a Souls game, it does not feel like a Souls game.

    So first of all, it's a complete, rock solid, no bug, no BS, COMPLETE game. it's also sold 10 dollars under AAA price, which is just amazing considered the scope of the game.

    Gameplay is just.... wow. Amazing. This game, like all From Software games, is carried heavily by its gameplay. It literally teaches you how to "properly" wield a controller to use all the 4 back buttons (shoulder bumpers and triggers) at the same time. Takes a bit of practice but it's IMMENSELY satisfying.

    The story, like all From Software games, it's very cautiously and thinly spread across radio dialogues and some cool videos. I would have liked a more all-encompassing, heavy narrative, but in a world full of those kind of games, maybe the mission-based progression structure is for the best, since if there is a game that can be carried solely by its amazing gameplay mechanics, it's this one.

    Graphics is super refined and clear. Anti Aliasing super well implemented, and 3 game modes: 60 fps ( arguably the best, especially in this super fast paced gameplay), a ray tracing one, and an uncapped one that is not fully explained (we'll have to wait for the Digital Foundry analysis for that).

    The audio is amazing, nice tunes that perfectly convey the theme of the game.

    As for the difficulty: I'm finding this game to be easier than your typical Souls. Way easier to get into the gameplay, but the game requires quite a bit of patience. I beat the first boss in like 10 tries, and the second one, the one in "Operation Wallclimber", in like 5 tries, so I'm definitely getting better..

    Absolutely majestic game. BUY IT, really. We gamers HAVE to support good, FINISHED projects like this one.
    Kudos to From Software. Again.... damn, these guys DO NOT MISS. You can clearly see the love poured into the game, and it's beautiful.

    UPDATE: I was struggling with Balteus, chapter 1 first boss, until I changed configuration and tried a heavy artillery tank, then i took it down first try.

    Same goes for Sea Spider, chapter 2 second boss, they are very hard but AS SOON AS YOU CHANGE YOUR AC ACCORDINGLY, YOU'LL BEAT EM FIRST/SECOND TRY!!!

    SO: CONSTANTLY CHANGE YOUR AC! PLAY AROUND WITH DIFFERENT PARTS, SELL AND BUY THEM EVERYTIME YOU WANT TO TRY EM OUT! DO IT!
    Otherwise, the game will become almost unbeatable and frustrating.
    The game is DESIGNED around changing your AC constantly..... you can save your configurations and simply sell every part for the same price you bought it, and they are always avaiable.

    VERY IMPORTANT: finish all the tutorial missions, since they give you precious attachments and AC parts. also, as soon as you can, do all the arena missions to buy the most OS updates possible.

    I’ve put 15 hours into the game. It’s amazing and challenging I. A completely different way for. Any souls like game. I reminds me of the first time I played Bloodborne.

    Can’t get enough and I look forward to replaying and and getting into the PvP

    First of all, gameplay is very satisfying. As a player, you can really enjoy while playing it. Graphics are very good and environment is great. There are lots of mech pieces and equipment and you can build something which fits your playstyle. There is a great variety of weapons in this game and you can make endkless combinations of these. Also you can make your mech and weapons look clean, rusty, dirty and some combination of these.

    Missions are quite good and fun to play. Difficulty (except bosses) is very fair and you will need some tacrics to advance. There are lots of missions and you can replay them for a better rank and some cash. There are also pve and pvp arena battles if you're interested.

    The only downside for me is the difficulty of the bosses. The development team decided to adapt soulslike boss fights to this game and they are much harder than rhe regular missions.

    I love this game and my score for it is a solid 85/100    … Expand

    If you long for the nostalgia of PS1 and PS2 era games where they're just a ton of fun to play and there's not a bunch of fluff, this is the game for you. AC6 is an absolutely incredible game. AC1 was my first and only game in the series that I played when it first came out and some of the newer ones just didn't seem to capture that feel of the original. Well I can say 100% this    9/10

    Sometimes there are obviously difficult bosses in the the game, but in those cases you can stay in the garage and find the best solution to the boss.     I love games with these non-playskill strategies.

Sometimes this game gets very challenging, especially in certain boss fights, but more often than not you'll feel like an invincible badass, annihilating your foes with overwhelming firepower. All in all this game is way more forgiving than previous Fromsoft games. The levels are generally short and for the longer ones there are checkpoints, which you can restart at with all your health and supplies restored.     This game is a complete and total masterpiece! The action is the best of any video game. Fast, powerful and brutal. The art design, music and atmosphere is breathtaking and really well made. They game is though but fair. It's an absolute classic and a must play. From software has done it again.

    This game isn’t for everyone however, and many people will come into this game feeling disappointed. Either because the game is pretty fast pace, and a lot of controls need to be moved, and guns fired in quite a small timeframe, but that is what the game advertised.

    Now, does this game have a fair share of problems, it does. The camera is not always the best, when fighting, and zooming around, which makes it difficult to stay on a target or to know where you were going? Although this is an issue, it can be overcome by practice and making sure the camera is on point, as often as can be. The story, to some people, also may not be the most engaging, because instead of a whole bunch of cut scenes and character growth moments, the story is primarily told via before, and after mission recordings. Overall, I think this is another banger from Fromsolf, and I can not wait to continue playing this game.    … Expand

The camera angles are very bad and your AC covers up the view much of the time, and the hard lock system is working against you as much as for you. Dodging is essentially worthless unless you've built into it with lightweight AC because of AOE damage, and they just should have left the camera permanently behind the AC because your AC is constantly turning all about, unable to decide which way to face, and it looks goofy.

    Music: Don't remember a whole lot of it. Not really that memorable.

    All in all, this is far from the best entry in the series, even taking into account the early year's odd controls. This game is clearly it's on thing, but the Souls Influence hurt it more than help imo.

    It was looking promising, but it felt like it may not be your thing if you're not into mechs. And oh boy, how wrong I was: it simply delivers. Smooth combat with overwhelming pacing, controls just click and feel great, missions manage to give you a nice burst of action mingled with occasional long-winded passages, cranking epic to 11.

    多くのパーツの組み合わせを考えつつ敵の動きの癖などを観察して自分の動きを最適化していくのはとても胸が躍りました。できればもう少し足の種類が欲しかったかな～とは思いましたがとても面白かったという評価です。

    最初のヘリがよく話題に出ていますが、ヘリまでの道中で説明されていることを理解していないのではないかという意見も多い気がします。道中までで説明されたことと、機体の装備をすべて使えばそこまで無理な難易度ではなかったです（自分は3回目でクリアできました）
    今作はしっかりターゲットアシストをオンにしていれば、基本的にターゲットを切り替えたいとき以外照準を動かす必要がほとんどないレベルでアシストしてくれるので快適でした。（FCSや腕のステータスによって、距離に応じ照準の動きがよくなったり悪くなったりするのでそこも機体を組むうえで重要でした。）
    ストーリーについても一周目では何が起こっているか全てわからないような感じですが、前に選ばなかった選択肢を選んだり、マップに落ちているデータから読み取れることがあって色々探すのも面白かったです。
    このゲームは基本的に自分のプレイスキルだけでなく、機体の構成によって難易度がかなり変わりますので、これから購入する方はそのあたりを自分が楽しめそうか考えたうえで購入を考えてみたほうがいいかと思います。    … Expand

    The world is very plain and besides boss fights there is really nothing exciting to carry AC6. The maps really fall short of what I was expecting after Elden Ring. The story is also just a powerpoint slideshow and felt depressingly boring to me.

    At first when I saw the trailer and the gameplay, I said that this was going to be an average game but after spending 10 hours on it, it felt like something new, a different gameplay, the OST is just epic, even after trying to find issues with the game I couldn't, that goes to show how much effort they put on this game.

My friends and I would build are Armored Cores and face off in splitscreen deathmatches. Maybe it's the nostalgia from those magical times but this game takes me right back to those moments. But if you're patient and are willing to learn even a bad souls player like me, who almost quit bloodborne for being too hard, can beat the game. But yeah it has all the DNA of their former games. The bosses are some of the most fun encounters I ever had in any game. The movement and how the fightsFirst of all the game is super hard so if you get frustrated easily this game isn't for you. But if you're patient and are willing to learn even a bad souls player like me, who almost quit bloodborne for being too hard, can beat the game. But yeah it has all the DNA of their former games. The bosses are some of the most fun encounters I ever had in any game. The movement and how the fights feel like duels is so addicting and I even think some of the boss fights are more fun than any of their previous games bosses. But there are some misses I call you out Smart cleaner for being a bad boss. But the last two bosses are incredible, those have a gameplay experience you can only have in armored core and its heart pumping, exciting and makes you feel like a god when you survive those through.

    The difficulty scaling othen than the bosses is somewhat weird, I think the game is too easy until you hit a boss. But still the gameplay is so fun that it carries those encounters through and makes those also enjoyable.

    Customization and finding counters is the main loop of the game, so if you wan't to ram you're head to a wall until the wall falls you're in for a bad time. Some of the bosses will not let you get an easy win until you're mech is good for the boss and fits you're play style also. I loved that aspect of the game, it lets you play to you're strengths. Also the cosmetic customization is insanely in-depth.

    Music, mood and story are good. Its the classic From experience everything is scaled epic, but there are spots where there are bits of fun and playing with cliches in dialogue. I think some people here don't just see the comedy in them, I found myself now and the smiling and laughing because of the characters; The arena combatant lore text is especially top notch fun. Otherwise there is some deep lore here with the characters and I found myself to be really interested in what kinda secrets are contained in the story, though my first play through was very staightforward without much reading the lore bits. Only complaint in the story for me is that it reminds me too much of Dune, they could have done more new things with the elements.

    All in all its a superb game, but not a masterpiece. For a masterpiece I think they should have more original ideas for the story. But for what the game is, it delivers all my expectations: I wanted to overcome pain and challenges, I got what I wanted.    … Expand

    One of the best games this year with outstanding graphics is Armored Core 6. Incredible sound design and very enjoyable gameplay keep you playing to defeat the next boss Perfect. I don't think I'll ever be able to get bored playing this one

There is nothing else like it. Managing four weapons, your booster, flying around or strafing on the ground, the speed etc., it's so sick. But the boss fights just were too much for me. I tried to get past the crazy missile boss that they have showed in some of the trailers, and it was just brutal, I ended up packing it in after maybe 30 tries because it just felt like I wasn't wrapping my head around it and by that point all the fun was gone, and I knew that even if I beat it, I just didn't want to keep playing at that point.

    I know all the veterans out there will just say "get good", but I kind of feel like, you know... I paid $60 for this game. It was advertised *specifically* as NOT being a "soulsbourne" game, so I kinda figured, ok, if I could beat Elden Ring, and this is being advertised as NOT a soulbourne game, I should be fine with this. I bet like 3 of these games in the past and don't remember them being that hard. Yeah. It sucks. I can't get a refund, I can't play the game I bought (unless I want to just replay the first few missions over and over, which - they are fun, so I did play them a bunch for credits for more gear, but that's not a $60 experience). Anyways, I'm rambling at this point, but it just feels really bad. I was so hype to play the game, and it's such a unique game, but, yeah.

    Of course on the other hand, like, Hollow Knight was the same for me - I just COULD NOT get to grips with it, but I know tons of people who had no trouble with it, so it could also just be my aging brain and reflexes, haha.

    So yeah, just be warned that this game is *brutally* hard. If you don't have a ton of patience and good reflexes, I'd honestly just watch someone stream it or something if you're wanting to scratch the itch (or if you don't mind gambling with your money buy it, because the combat itself is sick).

    Oh, p.s. - the graphics are trash. They put this horrible blurry filter effect on anything that isn't super super close, and even when you are close to stuff it looks like, super low res. Kind of shockingly bad for a PS5 game? I had originally bought on Steam but then refunded and picked up on PS5 because I just thought it might be more fun to play that way, but, yeah. Bad visuals. Good voice acting and audio design though!

Then, at 50% health it starts doing 1-hit kill attacks, those being where it Grows A Sword and Breathes Fire.......     Fun filled game with Souls like boss fights ( in mech suit obviously) if you've played them before you'll love this one . If this is your first time you'll enjoy it as long as you like upgrading mech suits, fun packed missions with challenging bosses that'll keep you going at it for hours !

    I haven't wanted a refund for a game so quickly as I have for AC6. FromSoft's typical design has ruined Armored Core. Horrible level and boss design have created the worst AC I've ever played. Gone are the days when you get to build an AC around your play style and what works best for you. Now you get to run through a bunch of vanilla levels until you hit the boss fight, then hope you'veI haven't wanted a refund for a game so quickly as I have for AC6.     Never been a 'Robot-Mecha fan' and never played AC before as I am a young man and a souls player. This game is amazing gameplay, bosses, customization, level design , the visual stunning art direction (for a sci-fi game is tough), the technical quality is at an all-time high for FromSoftware: zero stutters, zero crashes, zero frame drops, zero visual artifacts, zero bugs (at least for myNever been a 'Robot-Mecha fan' and never played AC before as I am a young man and a souls player. This game is amazing gameplay, bosses, customization, level design , the visual stunning art direction (for a sci-fi game is tough), the technical quality is at an all-time high for FromSoftware: zero stutters, zero crashes, zero frame drops, zero visual artifacts, zero bugs (at least for my experience), even if there are a ridicolous amount of vfx as explosions, beams, slashes, smoke, particles and the game is really fast and engaging and the camera have to catch everything the game runs smooth, clean and detailed (it runs at 120 fps).
    The game overall is at least a solid 8, possibly a 9, but people are review bombing this game for no reason (as always) and that's kind of unfortunate because it's selling very slow as it is something that the souls community has never seen, that's why of the 10/10: people are acting like kids.
    I hope people realize how big Fromsoftware's balls are to bring back their original series after the ridiculous success of souls games and, on top af all, Elden Ring. This is something that not a single studio nowadays would do, will never do in the future, and has never done before, and it's admirable.
    Oh, yeah, the game is difficult, really difficult and you need to understand its mechanics before everything else, it's not 'just' learning boss' patterns, it's something more, simply because of the three-dimensional movement that you are not used to and the capability of shooting with 4 weapons at once.
    So yeah just give it a shot, it's From Software and they never miss.    … Expand

    Cool aesthetic, but. Quit after hitting a wall with the first major boss. Not super fun… love other FromSoft games so it bums me out to write this. Wish I could get a refund.

    PS5 version has issues, everyone giving it a 10 must have played the ps4 pro version.
    I'm just about over the whole dark souls thing where you, bash your head against the boss until you learn the pattern.

    FromSoft just couldn't resist, and the end result is a game where 95% of the missions you're gunning down easy fodder, and the rest you're stuck fighting a soul    FromSoft 100% lied through their teeth when they said they weren't making another Souls game, make no mistake this is an Armored Core game right up until the moment you enter a boss battle, then it becomes Armored Souls.

    FromSoft just couldn't resist, and the end result is a game where 95% of the missions you're gunning down easy fodder, and the rest you're stuck fighting a soul destroying monster of a boss. The problem is you'll spend 1-3 minutes in each of those normal missions, but you'll spend hours banging your head against each boss. The difficulty curve is non-existent, there are only extreme, brutal and punishing difficulty spikes.

    Each boss has specific intended strategies to beat them, many of them are loadout checks just as much as they are skill checks, that's all well and good, until you realize they gave you the ability to change your loadout if you die, but not the ability to buy new stuff. If you just spent 5 minutes clearing the path to the boss, expect to have to do that again, and again until you buy the weapons that work.

    Honestly, whether you like this or not is going to be down to personal preference, I've cleared every Souls title to date, I've also been a fan of Armored Core since day 1, but I, for one, did not ask for Souls difficulty in Armored Core, and I feel cheated that they did it despite specifically saying they wouldn't. I play these games for different reasons, I don't think they work melded together. I think the crux of it, is Souls games were methodical, they required you to learn patterns, react to signposting, understand your build and use it, the pacing allowed you to digest the boss mechanics and learn. You can't do that in this game, most of the bosses have no signposting, and even if they did, they're far too fast for it to be meaningful. Most of the time your screen is going to be filled with explosions, lasers, bullets and zooming robots, there's nothing to digest here, you're reacting purely in the moment, fine when the stakes are low, kinda crappy when every either two shots you or breaks your ACS instantly.    … Expand

    A lot of missions are done within 5 minutes and very repetitive
    Mech building is just boring, look at crossout, in this game you literally build anything you want even if it cant move or shoot, but armored core gives you a simple system of upgrades where you cannot make smth that you would like
    This game is very boring, and when it's stops being boring, it becomes unfair

    This game is a masterpiece. People are mad because it's difficult and nothing like Elden Ring, even though Fromsoftware always made dificult games, and AC (armored core) never tried to be sous like or anything like elden ring, by the way, AC is older then Demon Souls, and I don't see people proclaiming that Dark Sous don't look like AC.

    As someone who had no prior exposure to Armored Core ahead of Fires of Rubicon, I am both surprised and delighted by how much I have enjoyed this game. Even when shifting to a slightly different genre, FromSoftware has once again asserted that it has a firm grasp on what it takes to make a thrilling and mechanically engaging action experience through and through. This might not be my own favorite FromSoftware game to date, but it's without a doubt worth checking out, regardless of how familiar you might be with Armored Core.

    FromSoftware returns with the Armored Core franchise and the sixth installment excels in almost every way. The customization is very deep, the game plays wonderfully, graphically it is a joy to look at, and so on. The game is very comprehensive which is worth multiple playthroughs and because it is all so well-crafted, this is by far the best Armored Core installment to date.
