Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was easily the most game-changing of the franchise as it showed the potential of concepts like the Multiverse before it was even introduced. With WandaVision being the series that kickstarted the phase, it came with a huge amount of expectations. For starters, it premiered around the time it was known the X-Men were coming to the MCU and fueled many rumors as Wanda Maximoff was once Magneto's daughter. These rumors were then seemingly confirmed when Evan Peters appeared as none other than Pietro, Wanda's long-dead brother.

The reveal was nothing short of a huge surprise for Marvel fans as they knew Peters to be the Quicksilver from the X-Men movies and his inclusion meant many huge implications. For starters, it could've meant that characters from the past X-Men entries could also cross over into the MCU. But before these theories could be followed through, they were dashed away by a half-hearted reveal. Still, one Reddit theorist may have found a way to undo the notorious Ralph Bohner twist and make WandaVision's Pietro canon after all.

The MCU Could Still Reveal Ralph Bohner Was Quicksilver All Along

Ralph Bohner has his secret exposed in WandaVision.

When Pietro was seemingly introduced in WandaVision, he may have looked like the version from the Fox movies, but he seemed to share the memories of his MCU variant. It seemed too good to be true, and ultimately was. It was then revealed Agatha Harkness had instead taken over a man named Ralph Bohner and used him to be a fake Pietro. But according to a Reddit theory, this may be the perfect foundation for a much-desired retcon.

In the comics, Wanda's powers made her capable of warping reality, an ability also used in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While WandaVision showed Wanda at the cusp of her accessing her powers, the theory posited that she tapped into warping reality and pulled Peter Maximoff into the MCU, making him Ralph Bohner and potentially creating an incursion. Though it may seem far-fetched at first, this theory has its own canon consistencies to make things make sense.

A Theoretical Retcon Could Still Fit The MCU's Canon Logic

Quicksilver Watches Magneto And Professor X Watching Each Other In X-Men Days Of Future Past

At a glance, the level of Wanda's power, even before the Darkhold, wouldn't have been enough to warp reality, let alone pull another into it. But due to her fragile mental state, the culmination of her grief and pain could've tapped into her raw power in an instant. Though it may seem unlikely that Quicksilver could've been pulled from another reality, there's evidence to the contrary. For starters, Bohner's debut alerted S.W.O.R.D. when other anomalies hadn't. Plus, when the spell was broken, there wasn't much known about Ralph, aside from a flimsy story that he was an aspiring actor. As a result, it's possible everything about Ralph was fabricated at the same time Peter was brought to Earth-616.

With Deadpool moving from his reality to the MCU and the three Spider-Men also having appeared, it's very likely that Wanda's powers -- especially within her hex -- may have pulled one Quicksilver into her reality. Considering the positive fan response to his debut, it would make perfect sense to retcon the character as a disguise within a disguise. Doing so would also prove that the hot-headed Peter Maximoff was the real deal and could potentially return as a hero lost in a strange world.
