Despite its flaws, The Teal Mask DLC, with its fresh setting and intriguing side quests, amplifies the experience of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet—perfect for those seeking a return trip to the vibrant world of Paldea.
Exploring Kitakami is a lot of fun, and the story of this DLC is quite interesting. Besides, the new Pokémon and characters are charismatic, and the features added to the game are useful. For all that, it's a shame that the performance of the game still has so much room for improvement.
A nice addition to the base game for everyone who enjoyed this generation of Pokemon so far with a new location, some quality of life features, and its new content. It is however let down by a plethora of technical issues still plaguing the experience.
The expansion has even more technical problems than the base game and features similarly empty areas. But it offers a nice story with typical Pokémon characters and is particularly suitable if you not only want to explore the game world, but above all want to follow a storyline again.
The Teal Mask adds a variety of interesting characters and Pokémon to the ninth generation, and while Ogrepon is the clear star of the show, there’s something to love about each addition. Plus, a focus on tradition and folklore add a richness to the area of Kitakami that is so great to see. But, wildly outdated visuals, inconsistent performance, and a litany of bugs mean that it’s genuinely hard to recommend this DLC, especially for nearly the price of a brand new game.
A fine story and the return of some old favorites can't mask what is a poorly coded, poorly optimized and poorly performs new area. They could have taken the time and effort to fix problems with this DLC, but instead they made some things worse.
The Teal Mask DLC was precisely what I assumed it would end up being: a small update that would take me a few hours at most to complete. While the quality of life changes are noticeable, it doesn’t make up for Scarlet & Violet’s pre-existing graphical issues, and the lack of new Pokemon leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I have higher hopes for the next DLC, the Indigo Disk, but it would’ve been nice if the same effort that’s going into the Indigo Disk was also put into the Teal Mask.
Looking good! Working Kitakami map Pokémon Scarlet DLC purchase already Pokedex all 200 Caught because battle passes Orgerpon legendary terastal forms the loyal three thank you so much!
This Dlc is much like the base game pretty underwelming. The new area is pretty empty and dull, with nothing much to see or to do. The whole area looks pretty empty, which is somewhat funny considering that the whole area is alot smaller than in the main game. Graphically it didn't improve and still looks like a game from 10 years ago. While i had no major bugs while playing the dlc, I had consistent framdrops and heavy lags. I also couldn't get hooked to the story and felt like it was written in the last 5 Minutes of development. For the new Pokemon.... I it's either like it or not i guess. For the whole SIX new Pokemon that they added, only liked one design wise, while the others felt like either really uncreative or, in the case of the legendary Pokemon, it felt like they were drawn by a 10 year old. They also added back some old Pokemon, which is fine i guess. The "scaling" which I was missing in the base game, is also really unnecessary. Because other than pushing the levels of wild Pokemon and Trainers, they didn't really "scale" alot in this dlc. Even with level 60, alot of trainers will still use base evolution Pokemons, which makes fighting them, like the dlc as a whole, a big waste of time.
The whole dlc takes about 5-7 hours which is also a bit short for it's pricetag of 35€. Even tho you get 2 dlc's at the time of this rewiew only one part is released.
In my opinion the dlc is absolutely not worth it, got no replayability and is much likely a heavy waste of your time and money. Other than some old Pokemon and some few new ones, you'll get pretty much nothing more than what could have been a big free update.
