If you have the time to spare, Starfield is a worthy investment into another gaming universe that delivers a truly immersive experience.
Starfield for me is very easily the game of the year, it would take something phenomenal to knock it off the top. Is it perfect? Not by any means, there are bugs and exploits to see but you have to go out of your way to do so, albeit to the detriment of your own experience. I think calling it Fallout in Space with Mass Effect tones and elements of No Man’s Sky is a cheap description. I think this is the massive space adventure we have needed and I am addicted to it and with so much content I feel very spoilt. It is so much fun and an RPG lovers fantasy to explore and I cannot recommend it enough.

Achievement-wise, this game is clearly going to take some time, and that can only be a good thing considering that Starfield seems to have delivered what it promised: an almost endless adventure we’ll still be discovering new details about years down the line.
Starfield may not reinvent the wheel when it comes to Bethesda’s formula for role-playing games, but it cleverly combines the best elements of past games in a very appealing sci-fi setting. The highlights are no doubt the many well-written and well-designed quests that you’ll encounter throughout your journey through the settled systems. No matter what appeals to you as a player, be it nail-biting gunfights, the quiet construction of your own base or the thrills of laser-dodging dye dogfighting, Starfield has hours upon hours of content for you to lose yourself in.
Starfield is certainly not a new milestone like Skyrim or Fallout 3, but it will keep fans of Bethesda RPGs happy for dozens of hours.
For the sheer size of it, the beauty of the hundreds of different landscapes you can explore and the always engaging missions, Starfield is a massive technical achievement.
If you’re the kind of person who thinks videogames peaked with Fallout 3's launch version and they’ve required neither evolution nor improvement since, this game is absolutely for you. If you believe Bethesda doesn’t need to exhibit growth as an artistic outlet and hasn’t had to change a thing about the way it’s made games since 2008, I can safely say you’ll adore Starfield because it’s all that a Bethesda game has always been... and literally nothing more...Starfield is a shallow ocean, hiding its lack of creative ambition behind the physical size of a universe that’s minuscule where it counts...In short, it's everything a fan of these games could love.
This game is easily my GotY 2023, leaving competition behind. I love the grounded approach to SciFi, with the more believable shipdesign (and oh my, I can sink hours into the shipbuilder!) and the exploration. I enjoy faction quests, and love that the background of the characters really comes up frequently enough, unlike in many other games where it's just something to be touched in the beginning of the game and then never again. Meeting your parents in different weird situations in the game is always good for a laugh! It's a huge sprawling sandbox with tons of stuff to do. The different cities have a very different feeling and atmosphere, and their Cyberpunk city Neon actually looks like a crammed, crowded Cyberpunk city with narrow ways, backalleys and so on. That's exactly what other games didn't achieve or feel like. The game runs smooth so far for me, with only minor bugs. Which is quite impressive for such a huge game! I played around 50 hours so far and still feel like I just touched the surface. It's like a campaign of Traveller. So if you enjoy this classical TTRPG, Starfield might be exactly your jam.

Il gioco è ambientato nella Via Lattea dopo che un cataclisma ha distrutto la Terra, ci ritroviamo quindi a dover vivere estraendo minerali da una caverna ma ci imbattiamo in un misterioso artefatto che porterà il protagonista a viaggiare nello spazio alla ricerca di risposte. Il gioco è uno sci-fi sparatutto GDR, dove ogni azione e ogni scelta deve essere ben soppesata, perché venire meno alle leggi dei vari sistemi stellari può rendere davvero molto complicata sia il proseguimento della storia, sia il rapporto con gli NPC. Il gioco tecnicamente è abbastanza scadente, bug di vario tipo da glitch grafici a quest che non si attivano, infatti mi è capitato di non ricevere al quest principale che mi ha tenuto bloccato sino al rilascio della patch. Anche le secondarie purtroppo soffrono di questo problema, alcune di esse non possono essere portate a termine. Inoltre il salvataggio automatico avviene casualmente ogni 10 minuti e può capitare di rimanere bloccato in un loop di caricamento se tale salvataggio avviene durante l'animazione di morte del PG, il che ti costringe a resettare il salvataggio vecchio di 10 minuti. Lo shooting in terza persona è fatto molto molto male, ho preferito di gran lunga quello in prima persona. Mentre per l'esplorazione quello in terza da un tocco di eleganza anche in relazione all'ambiente. Inoltre fastidiosi i bug inerenti al fatto che molto spesso i proiettili passano i muri e ti colpiscono ugualmente. Le battaglie navali sono terribilmente complicate: è possibile modificare la propria nave attraverso diversi parametri come armi, reattori, motori, gravimotori, stive ecc. E per avere la meglio nelle battaglie spaziali bisogna trovare un bilanciamento di questi parametri attraverso le freccette durante lo scontro. L'ho trovato abbastanza legnoso anche perché è difficile trovare il giusto compromesso in un'ambiente che permette lo spostamento anche nelle direzioni "sopra e sotto"e non solo nelle classiche avanti, dietro, sx e dx. L'aggiunta del peso è un altro fattore che ad inizio gioco è molto fastidioso e vincola tantissimo il giocatore, in sostanza più peso porti più ossigeno consumi e meno tempo puoi correre. Inoltre ti disattiva qualsiasi tipo di viaggio **** sistema di skill è abbastanza bruttino: ogni ramo ha diverse skill che a loro volta hanno 4 livelli. Solo il primo livello di ogni skill è "gratuito", tutti gli altri sono sbloccabili facendo determinati azioni in game (uccidere tot. Nemici con il fucile, curarsi tot. Volte ecc.) Che rende il sistema di livellamento del **** poco coinvolgente. Coinvolgente è invece la storia e l'esplorazione dei vari pianeti, benché lo spostamento tra sistemi e pianeti stessi sia automatico, così come sono interessanti le quest secondarie inerenti alle varie fazioni che mettono il giocatore davanti ad incredibili colpi di **** parte scientifica è davvero ben fatta con pianeti che rispettano fedelmente le condizioni di quelli conosciuti, sempre prendendosi la licenza di modificare quelle parti per rendere la storia **** longevità è ottima, se si fanno tutte le secondarie e si esplorano alcuni sistemi solari con intelligenza il gioco porta via dalle 70 alle 80 ore. Se si rushano solo le main quest in una 10ina di ore si finisce tutto. Il NG+ è abbastanza atipico perché ti lascia, sì, il livello, le skill e i pianeti esplorati, ma ti toglie tutto ciò che è stato raccolto nel NG. Aspetto che mi ha fatto storcere il naso non poco. In definitiva Starfield è un gioco immenso ma anche molto "piccolo". Pieno di bug stile Bethesda e con uno shooting non così eccelso. Le prime ore possono essere davvero toste. L'ottimizzazione su PC di fascia medio/bassa non è granché ma c'è di peggio. La storia è coinvolgente e per chi ama lo spazio è sicuramente un gioco da recuperare. Voto 7/10. Bello ma non indimenticabile.
Gli utenti che danno 10, così come quelli che danno 4, semplicemente ne capiscono poco di videogiochi o sono faziosi.

During the game, you spend a ridiculous amount of time on the loading . The graphics of the game are not up to the standards of this generation. The design of the upgrade/level up system and game menus are really inappropriate. The story and narrative are extremely boring.
