With incredibly in-depth tactical gameplay, a gorgeous art style, and a cast of some of the finest characters in the series, Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is one of the most enjoyable SRPGs I’ve played in years.
Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless sets a new standard for fun and flashy strategy RPGs. It's such a perfect blend of classic Disgaea feel and quirky new mechanics, and it's got some of the most memorable and entertaining characters the series has seen. This is the sequel that fans have been waiting for.

Disgaea 7 features a sub par story with some characters that have the most annoying quirks I have seen. Not only do these characters have annoying quirks but you are reminded of them in almost every sentence these characters speak. The story is just ok, nothing really made it enjoyable and it wasn't till the final chapter that I found any enjoyment from the story. The battle system is more of the same from previous entries with a few new bells and whistles. Jumbifying your character creates these epic Kajiuesqe battles. Hell mode can be activated to try and give your characters a edge in combat. Overall I enjoyed the combat I think the biggest glaring issue is the stage layouts can sometimes make selecting your character or navigating the stage difficult. With the cursor sometimes getting lost behind objects. I do feel like this newest entry is incredibly easy compared to 6. sad to see Disgaea becoming what it is today If the pay to level dlc wasn’t bad enough(clearly targeting impatient stupid children given what little they actually do) the game can’t even launch with the content it says it has and leaves it open to accidentally be bought again (Likely still targeting children) made all the worse by the fact that this entry looked to at least be a improvement over the last entry but until issues are resolved will never get the chance to find out

Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is a substantial step-up from the previous game and it's bursting with so many zany mechanics and party customisation options that it'll make your head spin. Trying to master some of the missions will still give you a headache, though.
If you liked previous Disgaea games — grinding your levels up to max, performing increasingly higher damaging attacks, and seeing a mass of numbers fill your screen — Disgaea 7 continues that trend and amplifies it further. Combined with genuinely funny dialogue, a pretty good story, and a customization ocean that is as deep as it is wide, you have a game that can hoover up no small amount of time out of your day. More of the same isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and Disgaea 7 proves that axiom easily.
Disgaea 7 is a course correction from some of the mistakes made in Disgaea 6. Gone is the slimmed-down character roster that saw many series staples disappear - instead, Disgaea 7 has more class options than any previous game, with entirely new classes and monsters to boot. Gone are the overinflated stat values and the game-breaking unrestricted auto-battle mechanics. The result is a game that feels more ‘Disgaea’ and less experimental, making it a more fitting modern follow-up to the crowning glory that was Disgaea 5 as a result.
Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless continues the Disgaea series' inexorable march forward, adding new mechanics and further complexity. It features a story campaign that goes down smoothly, if a little forgettable, but it's full of clever encounters that require more input than previous outings. It won't convert unbelievers, but for those already on the hook, it's as good as the series gets.
Disgaea 7 is a remarkable SRPG with an unremarkable story that gives you little reason to move past Alliance of Vengeance.
Season pass and complete edition broken chapter passes open to be purchased 2nd time seems like fraud and can’t find any warning from Sony or devs to try to stop you from purchasing twice to try and fix it.

Complete edition missing content can’t find any fix PSN refused any refund paid $100+ for defective product developer should be ashamed for releasing in this state with no testing and Sony should feel the same absolutely ridiculous

Psn complete edition and season pass broken does not give listed content and leaves items able to be bought twice. No warning from NIS and no timeframe on fix the first hour of playtime for this game is searching internet for what was going on and contacting support for refund, exactly what I want to spend my time and money on doing for entertainment. Maybe if they ever get it fixed and it ends up on sale I would give it another chance but for now the launched ruined any hope I had for this being better then the last flop
