One of the most fantastic gaming journeys you’ll take on this year, and a game that wraps up a magical arc for both Spider-Men. This is how you do a superhero trilogy, whether it’s a video game, a movie, or anything else.
Full of emotional highs that will make you get out of
your chair and cheer at the screen in a way that few games have managed
to achieve in recent memory, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 represents Insomniac
Games operating at the apex of its considerable powers. Spectacular and
amazing, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a superior, spectacle stuffed action
adventure that provides players with the ultimate superhero fantasy.
Full of surprising heart and delicate moments that balance beautifully
with the sort of blockbuster superhero bombast that its developer has
refined to a fine art, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a toweringly polished,
unparalleled masterwork that redefines the superhero video game genre at
large and is better than the previous two games in every way imaginable.
This is exactly what you've been waiting for.
Its not only the best Spider-Man Game every created, its also arguably the best SUPER HERO game ever created, rivaling the legendary Batman: Arkham Night.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 improves upon all of its predecessors, and it brings to life a story full of incredible moments and tons of impressive action scenes. It definitely manages to hit the standards of the best PlayStation exclusives, with all the emotions and feelings it implies.
Granted, sometimes it feels like Insomniac, in its push to give us more than we could have imagined, almost goes a bit too far. Like the addition of a wingsuit so that Spider-Man can glide through Manhattan’s glass and steel canyons a little more quickly. It’s an innovation likely born from the sheer size of the city, which can take long minutes to traverse by web-slinging alone. It can be useful, but it doesn’t feel very Spidey-ish. I generally preferred swooping up and down, even if it took a little longer. But if that’s the worst complaint one can level at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Insomniac must be doing something right. And it does nothing to diminish the game’s absolutely lovely energy. Every play session left me feeling upbeat and like all was right with the world. Or at least the world within the game.
This is an amazing fantasy come to life and realised like never before. Insomniac Games has crafted yet another heartfelt Spider-Man story bursting with twists, turns, and show-stopping spectacle. While I wish it had taken a few more risks in changing up its open-world formula, it’s tricky to remember those criticisms when I’m diving from the top of the Empire State Building and firing out a web line at the last second as I swing away in search of ass to kick.
A quantum leap forward for its franchise despite the general familiarity of its mechanics, Spider-Man 2 is far from the first story to suggest that being Spider-Man is harder than it looks, but the game represents such a significant addition to the ever-expanding multiverse of Spidey stories because it so vividly conveys how impossible it must feel for Peter to be anything else.
Even if these faults are eventually fixed in an upcoming patch, it’s clear that this game should not have been released in its current inexcusable state. It’s a shame because, critiques aside, there’s a genuinely addictive gameplay loop here that I’m sure I would have found more compelling if there was stability. Ultimately, bugs are not guaranteed in everyone’s playthroughs, so you may get lucky. But I do recommend being aware of these potential problems and making backup saves should something go awry.
This game is great .Story and gameplay are good. The only reason i score it lower than I expected is because it's alot of the same. Cinematic boss fights with QTE presses, which isn't a bad thing in small practices but feel it's too much and much of the same. Also the game is to short for £70 and as my next sentence states, BUGS! The main thing that dropped points for me is of course the many bugs. I've had one where I water skid into a boat and it glitched out and shot me into the air so high it was like being in GTA looking down on the entire map but couldn't do anything. I would still recommend this game but maybe wait untilit's cheaper and fixed. Save regular so bugs don't ruin it.

Honest the game was good and combat was amazing. l found myself playing more as miles because I loved his abilities more I played 120fps mode. I’m sad I beat the game in 13 hours and 2 hours just sitting in the menu I was very disappointed that the game was so short even doe I played on amazing mode. Kinda sad you can’t replay the hives or bases for enemies in the game. I would have game it a higher score if new game plus was at launch I just wish I didn’t spend 85 bucks for ultimate edition. I waited years for a 15 hour experience I’m not a average gamer I’m pretty good at games so I just sad it was so short and I did all side content as well within that 13 hours
