After a tremendous introduction to the superhero lives of Peter Parker and Miles Morales on PS4, Insomniac Games has crafted an even better adventure that showcases the true power of PS5 hardware. A game that is streamlined, ambitious, emotional, and showcases the true potential of the superhero genre in a gaming medium.
Excellent storytelling, narrative. This game is a good example of how deep its storyline should be, with great story development plus the jump in graphics, would definitely play this game again
With Spider-Man 2, the developers at Insomniac continue the adventures of Peter and Miles with a gripping story, taking many of the strengths of the predecessors and making meaningful improvements in the right places.
Insomniac Games delivers another stellar superhero-adventure. With the lessons learned from the first Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles: Morales, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 turns out to be an epic yet always enjoyable open-world-action-game that satisfies fans with its love for its characters but also with a well-rounded gameplay and interesting and varied mission-design.
There’s still a ton of things to like about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Insomniac wisely kept the formula that worked so well in place and expanded it, removing a lot of what didn’t work and filling it in with new side content to leave players with plenty to do. There are few open-world games that are anywhere near as engaging, in large part because so few of them can capture the genuine joy of simply moving through the world in the way these games do. That so much of the game’s content has been broken down into its best parts makes it all the more frustrating, though, when the game continues to make a few major mistakes it’s been making since the very first entry. Still, any fans of the first two games will have a blast returning to this world in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Even if these faults are eventually fixed in an upcoming patch, it’s clear that this game should not have been released in its current inexcusable state. It’s a shame because, critiques aside, there’s a genuinely addictive gameplay loop here that I’m sure I would have found more compelling if there was stability. Ultimately, bugs are not guaranteed in everyone’s playthroughs, so you may get lucky. But I do recommend being aware of these potential problems and making backup saves should something go awry.
Gonna keep it short for this one because its must play if you have an PS5.
Story is great but i wanted more side quest in a big open world, those repetitve side quest are nothing that i like, maybe for 1 or 2 times but it happend to much! They had to add way more personal side quest, that is what i really liked in this game, so sad tho.
Great story so its worth a 7
Spider-man on the PS4 was good. It had good graphics, normal combat, and a really good story. So imagine my disappointment when I picked up the new PS5 game and it just did not deliver. Everything was just... worse. The graphics ****, the combat was dull and repetitive, and the story was a joke. If you're looking for a new Spider-man game, then look elsewhere. This game was terrible.
Gameplay Mechanics ****:
The gameplay mechanics in this game are just completely broken. The combat is slow and clunky, and the movements just feel off.
The story is also a joke. We're supposed to believe that Peter Parker is some kind of brave, responsible hero? Dude is tripping like a girl LMFAO. He doesn't even take anything seriously. It's like he's not even trying.
The world exploration in this game feels awful too. Everything is so slow and cumbersome. Running through the city doesn't feel smooth or fast at all. And that's not even mentioning how awful the map design is. There are so many dead ends and it's annoying to navigate.
Graphics are terrible:
The graphics in this game are awful. The characters look like they were lifted from a PS1 game and the textures are all blurry and low-res. It doesn't look good at all.
In the end, Spider-Man on the PS5 is a bad game and a complete waste of your time. If you're a fan of the original PS4 game, then don't bother with this sequel. It's nothing more than a disappointment.
