The Chief Justice of Pakistan Abdul Hameed Dogar has killed his own daughter Farah Dogar in the name of Honour. And right now he is roaming freely on the streets of Islamabad in his bullet proof BMW with the full support and backing of his long time friend and ally, Asif Ali Zardari. The President of Pakistan has assured him that no harm would come to him and has proved this by ensuring a total media blackout of the news. But the most surprising thing is that even the Western media is not running the story. WHY? Even when a small village girl in the remotest valleys of Swat or barren lands of Choolistan is harmed the news becomes an overnight sensation on both local and international media. But now when the upholders of the law and justice have flauntingly ravaged the life of poor Farah Dogar, there is absolutely not a single word being uttered. Then what about the human rights organisations, NGOs, women’s rights activists. Where are they? What are they waiting for? Do they also only go after soft targets? It is only now upon us, the public to spread the news of the fate of the poor young lady who was a victim of honour killing only because she married against the wishes of her family. We must spread the news before the killers get the time to chop up the dead body of the poor girl into thousands of tiny pieces and feed them to the dogs. And, if there is no dead body, then there is no case in Pakistan.
I will now tell you the story of the young couple. It was a fine sunny afternoon when I came across a young couple in the streets of Islamabad. The boy was handsome, nearly 6 and a half feet tall and she barely managed to reach his shoulders with high heels but had her womanly charms and the couple seemed perfect for each other. I noticed that the two were pleading to the crowd of people and no one paying heed. I might have dismissed them as a new breed of beggars but their get-up and attitude said otherwise. Curiosity got the better of me and I tried to skim through the crowd to see what the commotion was all about. As I neared the couple I heard the girl weeping and begging the crowd for anyone’s help to be a witness for their wedding. Obviously, the two were going for court marriage and required witness signatures, but the reluctance of everyone from such a huge crowd was puzzling, which became obvious next second when I heard the girl’s name: Farah Dogar. It clicked with a flash that she was none other but the Farah Dogar of FSc Marks infamy. She was crying that they were short of one witness but no one dared to help them, knowing fully well that she was the daughter of the Chief Justice of Pakistan who also happened to be the best friend of Asif Ali Zardari. I couldn’t stand the plight of the young couple and decided to help them. I quickly walked to the couple and pulled them out of the crowd which clearly had nothing better to do than get a quick-fix and pass their time. I got the two into my car and agreed to sign as a witness if they would tell me their story.
Their story was as simple as it gets – boy meets girl, the two fall in love and girl’s father disapproves. There have been countless movies made both in Bollywood and Lollywood on the exactly same story. The two had met while they were studying in the university. The boy, Zeeshan although had the credentials for a model, also belonged to a well-off family. His father was a Federal Secretary and had been a close confidante of the President Musharraf. Zeeshan’s family, although had no objection to the marriage, had been trying to convince him not to pursue Farah, however, they were not giving him any stiff resistance. Farah’s family on the other hand was a completely different story. Her father had openly threatened to get Zeeshan killed if Farah didn’t stop seeing him. And he might have already done so, if Zeeshan hadn’t been the son of a Federal Secretary. Zeeshan then told me that his father was an honest officer and his family did not have fortune other than the government allotted plot. Thus in his opinion it was his middle-classness which was the hindrance. I smiled at the innocence of the boy in these matters. Turning a middle-classer into an ultra-rich-classer is a matter of months in this country, if really warranted. It was not his father’s middle-classness but Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar’s feudal lordness which was the reason. Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar is one of the biggest landlords of Pakistan and he would rather kill his daughter than to marry him to someone outside the family for the fear of losing part of the family land, no matter how paltry that might be. It was the centuries old tradition that the land must remain within the family, whatever the cost to the females might be.
I tried to explain to the couple that if they went ahead with the marriage, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Abdul Hameed Dogar would have them killed. And he would have full support of his long time friend Asif Ali Zardari. However, the couple was of the view that if they were to marry they would be safe as in this case Farah’s share of the property would go to Zeeshan in case she is killed and in case both are killed the property would automatically go to Zeeshan’s family. Thus Chief Justice Abdul Hammed Dogar and his family wouldn’t dare touch the two, out of the fear of completely loosing Farah’s property. In their innocent minds they had a fool proof plan. I couldn’t argue with their logic, but unfortunately, things in Pakistan do not follow logic.
Oh, how I lament that moment when I gave in to their incessant pleading and signed the marriage certificate as a witness. Afterwards, I took them to my lawyer and got them registered, something which was not easy, because of Farah Dogar’s father’s reputation. No one in Pakistan wants to mess with a Chief Justice of Pakistan. However, I was able to get the process finished in a typical Pakistani fashion. Seemingly, money helps overcome all the fears. At the end of the day I gave the couple my card and advised them to keep in touch and apprise me of any incidents.
A couple of days later I was invited by the couple. They had arranged a meeting of their close friends to discuss their next move. They hadn’t told anyone that they had gotten married. When I arrived, I found it unsurprising to find the children of the elitist gentry sitting there. From the daughter of a Lieutenant General to the son of a business tycoon were all there. Everyone in the gathering was of the view that the couple should take the first flight out of the country and disappear for good. And I agreed.
Today morning when I received a phone call at 5am, I had an eerie feeling that it wouldn’t be good. It was from one of Farah’s friends, daughter of a media tycoon. Her message was brief. The couple was caught while trying to board a flight. Their names had been put on Exit Control List. Farrah was killed by the hands of her father two hours after capture, while Zeeshan has been confined to the darkest corners of the infamous jail. Zeeshan’s family members have been threatened with death and President Asif Ali Zardari, who had first helped his old friend by putting the names of the innocent couple on the Exit Control List has now put his whole might behind imposing a total media blackout in Pakistan. She said that the media bosses have been threatened with such dire consequences that not a single newspaper or news channel is willing to run the story – the biggest story of HONOUR KILLING – of the century.
And now, unless we the public do something, no one would ever know the fate of poor Farah Dogar. And then what about Zeeshan, who is still alive at the time I am writing this for the world.
O you NGOs, civil rights advocates, international media, bloggers, tweeters will anyone help the soul of Farah Dogar? Will anyone take this darkest of all atrocities to the echelons of justice? O will anyone come forward to ensure this crime is not buried along with the body of Farah the Martyr?
Shame, shame, shame. Not on these soulless murderers but on us Pakistanis, who are too afraid to stand up to such evils. May her soul rest in peace.
We are with you Farah.
inna lillahi wa ilayhi rajioon
These SOBs should be hanged on zero point. This is the only way forward.
May the soul of Farah the Martyr rest in peace
And shame on our media for their silence
When will this stop? When will Pakistan escape from the clutches of this monstrosity? When will women finally get their rights?
May she find peace in her next life. Ameen
I will email this story to everyone in my mailing list. This is in my power and I promise I will keep on emailing everyone I know until this story sees the light of the day
The elite of this country should be burned alive. The Chief Justice of Pakistan should be tried.
I can only sympathize with all the women of Pakistan.
Fake news… unable to verify this one.
You must be living in USA. Come to Pakistan and see the nightmare we are living in. Of course no one can verify this news story because in Pakistan stories like these just disappear in thin air in a matter of days. I am sure whoever posted this story must have risked his/her life to come forward with the truth.
As for the validity of the story, the Chief Justice does have a daughter named Farah, and it would only be proved fake if he is able to show us that she is living and breathing.
Farah Dogar is sort of a celebrity here in Pakistan – a household name.
And ever since her fiasco and confrontations with the media, she has suddenly disappeared into thin air. The story might turn out to be false, but I must say, sudden disappearance of the girl does raise my eyebrows.
It is interesting to note that everyday Pakistani media is mocking the President Zardari and his company, and Zardari is unable to stop all that nonsense. But he has the power to blackout this one news story, and the whole media including Geo/Jang group is afraid of Zardari.
The couple was afraid and hiding and it was begging a crowd of people in the open to find a witness for their marriage. The couple’s names were on ECL. Can anyone confirm this from the ECL record? This story seems to be a cock and bull story. A complete nonsense.
Paid stooges of the media have now started what they are best known for – rewriting the facts in the favor of the criminal.
Islamabad is abuzz with calls from these people who claim to have personally spoken to the brother, sister, uncle, aunt confirming to them that Ms. Farah Dogar is alive and well. The funny thing is that none of these stooges have the nerve to say that they have spoken to Farah Dogar or her farther directly. By including an intermediary these reporters have the option to put the blame on the uncle, sister or whoever when the real news breaks in future.
I think the only confirmation of this news being false would be when Farah Dogar or her farther appear on the news. Until then, this story is true for me.
The horrible murder of this girl will bring down this government. Just like this government started with the murder of a great lady, it will end with the murder of this innocent lady.
@ LalaJi
Oye laley de jan, I think all of us would agree that it would be a hell lot easier to get Farah Dogar, her father or any other family member on TV and deny this story than to try to trace the date at which the couple was leaving the country, then find the person who is in charge of the ECL and then find the history of ECL lists up till that date and then cross-check it with their names. What is your opinion lalaji?
Also, three weeks of a story on internet is a long long long time. things just don’t last that long on the internet. And the longer the family delays in their response, the more credible the story becomes.
some thing is missing. who is the writer who became a witness. When these children can collect there big shot friends from big shot families, why they have to stand on the road and cry and beg to find one witness. Zardari can have his powers on stupid Pakistani media but what power he has to stop International media, hard to believe. I can make better stories then this and they will be flawless. Go ahead spread this every where and enjoy.
Story Maker
I completely understand your point of view that the story is completely fabricated one with not a single truth in it and Chief Dogar has not murdered his daughter. I have just two questions.
Q1) Rather than asking the media to prove she is alive why are you stressing so much on the flaws in the story. Murder is a very serious offense let alone honor killing. And compare this to the time when Farah was given few marks in her exam. That time every damn blogger and news reporter was on the news trying to get to the bottom of it and yet now, when the news has been circulating about her murder for nearly three weeks not a single word on news channels. Not even a denial. This should tell you something about the story.
Q2) How would you feel one week from now if the story breaks that she really is dead? (as for myself, if the story breaks that she is alive, I would be satisfied with that as well, knowing I did my civic duty to inquire about a potential crime that might have gone unchecked.
I totally agree with Najeeb Syed and I think this is not more than a stupid propaganda or just a story drama. . . . remember, neither I am fan of Mr. Z nor Mr. D .
totally bullshit news…. get a fukin life and do something bettr wid it othr than spreading caos
According to Wiki, this guy was Chief Justice but it was later recinded for some technicality so really he never held that high office. He did also have a daughter and there is mention of her on Wiki:
Reassessment of daughter’s FSC results
An investigative report by Daily News found out that Justice Dogar’s daughter Farah Hameed Dogar examination paper for F.Sc. were reassessed in violation of previous Supreme Court rulings.[26] While the results of 201 candidates were revised only for Farah were the examination papers re-marked and the numbers increased. In the other 200 cases, only errors in adding the total marks were corrected.
Now if no one has seen her, who are you all to say it’s not true unless you have proof otherwise.
I am no fan of any political party or leader or media. neither am i an admirer of Justice Dogar but i am an ardent fan of the truth. it is improbable that any one wanting to get married secretly would stand in a crowd on an open road and ask for witnesses. Islamabad is the size of a postage stamp and it is impossible that not a single media person would be around. the alleged killing took place much later however, the two kids begging for witnesses were seen by a lot of people. this would have been on tv channels in a trice if only to ridicule Justice Dogar. not only would i request the writer to desist from misinformation i would request everybody from doing this. enough harm has been done to this country due to misinformation, which is also a form of corruption and which misleads the public. this is most irresponsible of the writer. the writer could be sued for exemplary damages. Farah Dogar is a young girl and her reputation is being maligned in this story. i reckon the writer has neither a mother, nor sister, nor wife nor a daughter that’s why he is screwing up this young girls reputation. being a lawyer i know for a fact that too many links in this chain of disinformation are missing. whether we like Dogar or A to Z we must not mislead the public. in a word i would describe this story as “CRAP”!
I agree with Ms. Jamila Jahanoor Aslam.
Simple solution — Farah shall come on media to confirm that she is alive, and only then it will prove that it is misinformation. If it is proved that this is misinformation, then the person reporting this shall be sued.
Now,,i think, there is only one way for its confirmation that either Farah is alive or not,,,that we must get it either from media or any other civic body,,we must not take ourselves into the frock of laziness regarding this matter rather try to explore the reality for the prompt restoration of justice in the matter..
[…] the unconfirmed report of the murder of Farah Dogar, a one-post blog, I could immediately tell it was written by a male. First the anonymous author tells us: The Chief […]
who is the author of this story?? It’s totally fake and based on lies and nothing else. nothing of this sort has happened. The author of this story and editor of the publication should be hanged.

Reblogged this on Ninja Girl Power!.
Fake
Absolutely FAKE.
G’day… My name is Muhammad Zeeshan Ghayur who has recently post graduated in Mass Communications from Riphah International University (RIU), Mezan Campus, and Rawalpindi, Pakistan. I’m a member of Facebook and Twitter.
On Twitter I’ve been reading of some Farah Dogar having been murdered and she was married to Zeeshan of Mass Communications department at RIU. So far in Mass Communications batches released by RIU till date only two Zeeshans have graduated. I do know by face and bit of the other Zeeshan and my contacts at the University who know the other one say it with complete confidence that he too can’t be this Zeeshan. I am also not this Zeeshan.
I’ve also read a few blogs by simple searches of keywords: “Farah Dogar”. Being a person who is to live on jobs for the rest of his life I am not happy to have read such a framed up story. No father being a Muslim would murder a daughter just because she wants to marry someone who is also educated (and this obviously is in accordance to what I have read on the internet).
I must admit that I was familiar with her name even before this cooked up story as I would refer to it. However that was because in Media Ethics class at the University we were asked to write critically on Farah Dogar’s case appearing in the newspapers since I am a journalist by degree. That’s all. I am shocked too.
How does Farah Dogar look like? Is she tall like me or short? Is she fair in complexion, white or black? Does she speak good English? I have absolutely ‘no idea’. If there is a marriage agreement or Nikah then kindly produce it over the Internet. Then everyone would know of that particular Zeeshan.
If God forbid there is a death certificate then kindly produce it. If there is none then kindly stop annoying two youngsters for no reason at all.
I admit I was a naughty student at the University therefore people knew me on the campus but I would also ask as to what deed I have done that has resulted in this a hoax. I hope it’s a hoax because it sounds like a typical Bollywood story.
I hope no daughter including Farah gets murdered for having married an educated person whichever class he would belong to. I am a bachelor and I know if my daughter would want to marry a lower class educated fellow’; I would allow it because education allows a person to get a job and a living.
Please stop annoying because I am a man who can bear but Farah is a woman who in our society would not want such alarming allegations. She has already been through much as I would put it since her cooked up marks case in courts and media. Don’t bother anyone without credible evidence. We journalists are taught this in Media Ethics and other classes in Mass Communications.
What is currently happening is a low case of Yellow Journalism.
